The Disney Decision Science and Integration (DDSI) is the center of excellence for developing and deploying innovative analytics that support decision making across the organization, including Parks and Resorts, Publishing Worldwide, Disney Cruise Lines, National Geographic, Theatrical Group, ESPN, Adventures, ABC, and Walt Disney Studios. To drive business value through decision-shaping analytics, DDSI leverages technology, optimization, simulation, statistics, and machine learning models to explore opportunities and deploy new analytical capabilities.
The Decision Science Product team within DDSI is looking for a Senior Manager that will provide leadership for a highly skilled team of experts across business and technical disciplines. You will also lead interactions with our clients, vendors, and internal teams such as Decision Science, Data Integration, and various segment-specific analytics and technology groups.
As a Sr. Manager, Decision Science Products, you will be passionate about solving business questions through data analysis and about working directly with business segments within the Disney Entertainment organization and Finance. You will lead integration and development of new and existing systems by prioritizing, implementing, and testing solutions that address client business problems. You should enjoy connecting with clients to brainstorm ways to better support business decisions, building data visualization dashboards, managing, and improving software systems. The Sr. Manager, Decision Science Products will work under the Director, Decision Science Products.
What You Will Do
Lead, develop and mentor a team of analytical professionals who perform data analysis, modeling, solution development, solution maintenance, and product/client engagement across a portfolio of business segment projects.
Develop multi-year advanced analytics strategies and roadmaps on behalf of client partners.
Build project resource and funding plans, shepherd initiatives through expense and budget approval processes, and manage resources across initiatives.
Represent DDSI internally to all levels including Sr. Leadership (EVP+) and externally as appropriate.
Exhibit critical thinking and creative problem solving in scoping work, crafting results, setting priorities, meeting deadlines, and communicating results.
Own the vision for analytical opportunities, be accountable for integrating these concepts into real-world business processes and drive the roadmap for ongoing operational updates and sustainment.
Lead operational integration of analytic processes and support ongoing usage and interpretation of advanced science within developed analytical applications.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Minimum of 10 years of experience in advanced analytics or data science
Experience in the finance field or media industry (media ad sales, media research, media technology)
Minimum of 3 years leading analytical teams
Ability to think and act independently daily, while maintaining a multi-functional and complete perspective for implementation decisions
Strength in leadership to navigate organizational dynamics, remove barriers, and be a thought partner for all levels.
Excellent skills at communicating complex topics to multifaceted audiences, to act as a science consultant to various business units.
Ability to craft client presentations and lead presentations to executive leadership
History of supporting operational teams, and working in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Proven success in consulting and operational analytics product management in marketing and finance
Expertise with direct-to-consumer operating models
Familiarity with full stack development
Experience developing short- and long-term product roadmaps for implementation and sustainment.
Education
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience
Preferred Education
Master's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $180,700.00 to $242,300.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
