Job Summary:

Role Description:  This individual will report to Vice President, HRBP Productions and be a key collaborator within a small but growing team, cementing processes and key partnerships for impacting and enhancing the workplace culture on DGE productions. This role will sit at the intersection of Human Resources, Employee Relations, Production/Show Leadership and Production Executives across all DGE studios. The individual is responsible for shaping the production employee experience, ensuring that our production populations and production/show leaders are fully supported from an HR perspective throughout the lifecycle of a production.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Enhance the on-set experience by engaging with production leaders/executives at key steps in the lifecycle of the production, inclusive of onboarding, development, performance management, training, and off-boarding.

  • Coach Production/Show Leaders on HR policies and processes, including but not limited to learning and development, and performance management to promote a thriving production culture.

  • Develop thoughtful, integrated approaches to promote diversity, equity and inclusion in talent attraction, development and retention, and partner with CTDI on building an ongoing strategy for future needs.

  • Partner with Development and Production Executive’s to identify production creative needs in advance of filming, and to introduce HR support throughout the production lifecycle.

  • Collaborate with internal partners to design and implement impactful development opportunities for Showrunners, Line Producers, and UPM’s.

  • Partner closely with Employee Relations to identify trends, assess show specific training/coaching needs and conduct non-investigatory environmental scans and subsequent reporting, pre-and post-incident on productions.

  • Provide context and information needed by the ER team to enable the interactive process and reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities.

  • Work with Cast and Crew & Entertainment Partners to pull data trends and insights from productions and use those insights trends to identify ways to improve production culture.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in human resources, organization development, training, or related talent management field

  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity successfully – navigating issues that may not always have a process or a system in place.

  • Ability to position self as credible (garners respect, acts with integrity, keeps commitments); proactive (has a point of view, challenges assumptions, takes initiative); and a trusted thought partner (builds relationships, delivers results).

  • Demonstrated experience and ability to balance business partnering skills with employee advocacy.

  • Have high trust/integrity and operate with discretion

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to encourage, empower and lead team to achieve goals

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

  • Self-starter with passion, energy and enthusiasm for making change in a large organization

Required Education:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent working experience
