Job Summary:

The Sr. Manager, Office of the President, Disney Branded Television, is looking to identify someone who is curious about content, meticulous in their work and communication, and knowledgeable about the professionalism needed to represent the President, Disney Branded Television. Candidates will have exceptional support skills along with leadership and project management. The high volume of work demands great attention to detail and a knack for prioritizing. The position deals with sensitive material and requires confidentiality, trust, and common sense.


  • Act as a strategic advisor to the President and senior management team.
  • Relay information on behalf of President in meetings, by email, and phone calls with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understand the President calendar and collaborates with Coordinator to prioritize their time and schedule.
  • Draft letters, emails, decks, and other correspondence on behalf of the President.
  • Support President in meetings by taking notes and capturing action items.
  • When needed, act as the liaison between President and other executives, clients, and stakeholders to ensure involvement or decision-making at the proper time.
  • Participate with the President and senior management team in strategic planning, policy development, and strategic project management/tracing
  • Ensure timely and effective completion of projects and initiatives of the President.
  • Develop and manages comprehensive Disney Branded Television project slate/tracker across live action, animation, and unscripted properties; inclusive of studios outside of DBT
  • Track strategic priorities for DBT, including the measurement against studio goals from DGE and setting goals for DBT.
  • Collect President’s direct reports’ department FY goals and coordinate shareouts to broader organization for awareness
  • Keep finger on the pulse of how people are experiencing the organization and recommend new and revised communications, processes, policies and strategies as needed
  • Create and maintain systems and processes to streamline operations
  • Stay apprised of Enterprise and Segment priorities and relationships and anticipate/help meet related needs
Direct Support of President
  • Work with leaders to understand and communicate strategic priorities
  • Prepare for and follows up on meetings, including weekly direct report action meetings
  • Organize pitch decks, reports, presentations
  • Work with Coordinator to ascertain daily and weekly schedule and anticipate changes and needs
  • Ensure appropriate support for events involving the President (including hair, makeup, wardrobe, etc.)
Strategic Planning and Alignment
  • Act as a project manager for the annual strategic planning process, ensuring alignment with the leadership team and other stakeholders
  • Understand DBT key performance indicators and update dashboards as needed
  • Manage cadence for sharing updates and measuring of Sr Team and President objectives
Project Management
  • Oversee large, often cross-functional, organization-wide projects or initiatives; bring together important stakeholders and help drive decisions
  • Research, perform benchmarking, analyze data, and make recommendations
  • Propose the creation of new systems and processes to streamline operations
  • Manage Sr Team projects and priorities
  • Work with Culture team to shape meetings, town halls, or other broader studio communications for President

Basic Qualifications:

  • Previous media experience required, strongly prefer network, studio, or agency background.
  • Minimum 8 years supporting senior leadership.
  • Mature judgement and discretion in keeping sensitive information confidential.
  • History of driving complex projects in the face of ambiguity.
  • Distinctive written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient/Expert in PowerPoint and other presentation software.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • Strong orientation to company culture.
  • High sense of responsibility.
  • Demonstrated excellent time management.
  • Proven experience in multi-tasking and working with multiple people and priorities, while proactively delivering on high quality results and follow through
  • Demonstrates flexibility and professionalism in an environment where change is constant

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior network, studio, or agency background

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree

This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
