The Media Sourcing Team collaborates with Media & Marketing professionals across the Walt Disney Company, to maximize the value of our media investments, by assessing opportunities, staying abreast of industry trends, creatively crafting deals that deliver value across the enterprise, and improving the way we do business with our partners. The Media Category collaborates with Media Leads across all lines of business and focuses sourcing efforts on Digital and Traditional Media buys and publishers, Media Agencies (including strategy, planning, and buying), and media buying technologies in coordination with the Marketing Category and Segment Sourcing teams.


Join a dynamic team that is responsible for the strategic sourcing of Media subcategories for The Walt Disney Company, building relationships with key media lead executives and their teams, advising them market changes, cross line of business opportunities, supporting deal negotiations, and helping to enhance value from supplier relationships. You will work on a wide variety of initiatives that will keep the role exciting, allowing you to deepen your understanding of the media industry and marketplace and enabling your growth in strategic thinking, relationship building, creative problem solving, process improvement, innovation sourcing, and other key skills that will develop you as a strong business leader. You will also be tasked with developing subject-matter expertise within the media discipline, through research, networking, leading key projects and building relationships with key leaders and their teams across the enterprise.

Our team curates programs and content to bring the Disney Media Lead global community together to collaborate, network and share best practices. We lead cross-enterprise initiatives that require us to coordinate across all divisions, orchestrating complex deals that must account for the needs of our very different businesses. Working with marketing leaders across a dynamic entertainment conglomerate like Disney creates many exciting opportunities, as we help them push the envelope on new and creative ways to deliver effective marketing strategies and campaigns. Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of strategic sourcing with at least 3 yrs. of marketing and/or media category sourcing experience
  • History of building strong working relationships
  • Experience working in a marketing function or media agency supporting complex clients
  • Media industry (traditional TV/Outdoor Media, social media, digital marketing, etc.) background is a plus
  • Strong analytical capabilities, particularly through financial analysis in MS Excel through multi-worksheet linking, v-lookups, PivotTables, and other advanced formulas
  • Strategic thinker & creative problem solver
  • Exhibits intellectual curiosity and emotional intelligence
  • Strong communication skills
  • Advanced negotiation skills
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Ability to analyze a situation, and develop coherent insights and strategies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP
  • Strong Microsoft office skills (Excel, Access, Power Point and Word)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Media Sourcing background is a plus

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field

Preferred Education

  • Master’s Degree/MBA

This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
