The role will collaborate with our research and analytics groups to understand video performance across our entire ecosystem and put together comprehensive analyses and actionable product roadmaps for improving the overall viewing experience. He/she will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, other product managers, UX designers and engineers to execute against this roadmap and develop centralized capabilities that will be shared across the organization.
He/she should be someone who is methodical and detail-oriented but can simultaneously think critically and creatively about the larger picture. He/she will be self-motivated and enjoy working independently, but also be able to collaborate successfully with a wide variety of stakeholders across business functions.
Responsibilities:Act as Product Owner for scrum teams. Collaborate, partner and coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, product leadership, analytics, and business insight) to streamline system integrations and enhance existing business processes. Keeps all teams on course to completion.
Translate strategy and product vision into project deliverables with achievable
launch targets. Create product requirements for new features and initiatives. Interprets external in depth consumer analytics and identifies innovative solutions. Author, maintain and deliver technical documentation and other resources to internal and external partners.
- A minimum of 6 years of product management experience
- Comfort working with analytics software and data visualization tools
- Excellent communication skills, namely the ability to articulate complex technical ideas and plans effectively to non-technical audiences
- Adept at writing user stories/journeys
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Strong presentation skills, particularly the ability to tell a story with data and research
- Experience with video products and workflows
- Experience with Digital Rights Management, Server Side Ad Insertion, and Quality of Service/Experience for video stream delivery
- Understanding of video streaming principals, video streaming workflows, and of the HLS/MPEG-DASH video spec
- Bachelors in any of the following disciplines:
- Information Science Technology, or similar
- Computer Science, or similar
- Business Administration, or similar
- Finance, or similar
