This role is located within the Core Systems and Platforms organization under the Financial Value Chain business solutions area. We lead with a Business Architecture framework and own the core financial systems and related functions domain technology roadmap.

The Staff Source-To-Pay Business Architect - Coupa role is a technical leadership role responsible for managing the delivery of Source to Pay platforms and services, ensuring technology solutions are delivered end to end in line with architectural standards, delivering on business capability, and collaboration with support operations. This role will lead matrix projects and 3rd party resources, including technical guidance and ensuring the solution architecture is robust and scalable. The span of the role will encompass product management, solution design, development, and delivery.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops, and delivers Source to Pay products through the full software life cycle

  • Leads product conceptualization, functional/technical requirements, delivery, and product support – ensuring technical and business requirements are met

  • Crafts and runs product roadmaps – setting and leading tech strategy

  • Balances business requirements, project timelines, budgets, product and technology roadmaps, and architectural designs

  • Has oversight on solution design, end-to-end solutioning, security, and compliance

  • Collaborates closely with multiple business partners across the organization, building positive relationships while leading a diverse group of partners at multiple levels from end users to executives

  • Acts as a resilient self-starter, who can effectively navigate complexity, without having the total picture, and is comfortable handling risk and uncertainty

  • Embraces innovation by constantly seeking new and industry leading ideas

  • Mentors high-performance teams across numerous disciplines

Required Experience:

  • 7+ years experience in Product Management or Engineering roles on large Source to Pay products

  • Deep experience of Source to Pay Systems within SAP ERP and SaaS Vendors, with a proven track record of successfully owning products in Source to Pay value chains on a large scale

  • Track record with Coupa SaaS solutions, and SAP AP/Procurement/Materials Management knowledge

  • Experience leading matrixed project teams (including architects, developers, operations, PMs, business analysts, and vendor partners) with full life-cycle ownership of technical products from ideation through delivery

  • Experience with Solutions Architecture practices and methodologies

  • Experience with Security and Compliance, and handling Tier 3 engineering support for live services

  • Solid experience with both ERP and leading profit/loss

  • Vendor management experience – building strong, collaborative relationships

  • Experience with agile software development and managing full software creation process

  • Ability to lead collaborators at all levels, with a demonstrable ability to build and empower

  • Good communication, consensus-building, mentorship, and executive presentation skills

  • Bachelors in Computer Science or related technology field; or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in Burbank is $136,038 to $182,490 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
