Responsibilities:
- Responsible for answering billing questions from Members via phone, fax, and/or email, having complex discussions regarding collection status, and processing the related payment accurately
- Follow standard procedures to ensure proper internal controls are met, both during and after each interaction
- Provide suitable options for call resolution, in a timely manner
- Partner with other areas to efficiently achieve a positive member experience
- Assist in training new hires when applicable
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience in call center operations
- Background in banking and/or accounting industries
- Demonstrated strong guest service skills with a proven ability to handle challenging situations while maintaining a positive and professional disposition
- Ability to handle large volumes of transactions efficiently and accurately, work independently, multitask, and manage the time accordingly
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated strong organizational and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail
- Proficient computer skills including data entry, working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, and willingness to learn new software applications
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Possess strong partnership skills, with a willingness to exchange ideas and information in a positive manner to maximize results
- Ability to work additional hours as needed
- Flexible attitude when asked to perform other duties related to department projects
Preferred Qualifications:
- Willingness to learn all facets of the account servicing operation
- Experience in a loan servicing or other accounts receivable environment; familiarity with simple interest loans
- Bilingual English/Spanish/Japanese
Required Education
- Associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field; or equivalent experience.
Preferred Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; or equivalent experience.
This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
