Responsibilities:

The Accounts Payable Vendor Master Records Administration and Compliance Team is responsible for maintaining SAP vendor master records and ensuring that US domestic and foreign tax withholding liabilities are adequately flagged, withheld, remitted and/or reported to the appropriate government agency on a timely basis. This team is also responsible for conducting records or payment audits related to: OFAC, fraud, duplicate and high dollar threshold payments.
  • Support the Manager A/P Compliance and work closely with the A/P Domestic and Foreign Tax Desks
  • Strong facilitator capable of influencing all levels of the organization
  • High level of energy, self-direction, accountability, motivation, follow-through and issue ownership
  • Proven analytical, problem solving, and continuous process improvement skills with the ability to manage projects
  • Act as point person during tax season, ensuring on time filings and check all third party filing submissions and tax returns
  • Play a key role during audits (business income tax, sales and use tax)
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, and apply various federal and state tax policies and requirements pertaining to business transactions
Accounting
  • Minimum four years’ experience in accounting or related fields
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in coordinating and facilitating accounting audits
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of advanced accounting principles
  • Proven experience in account reconciliation
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, and apply various statutory and regulatory requirements pertaining to business transactions
Operational Support
  • Perform daily >$500K payment audit
  • Provide backup support for the A/P Compliance Team (i.e. duplicate payment audits, client inquiries, or other functions) as needed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum four years’ experience in accounting or related fields
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in coordinating and facilitating accounting audits
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of advanced accounting principles
  • Proven experience in account reconciliation
  • Demonstrated experience specifically related to 1042, 1099, and various state tax reporting requirements
  • Minimum one-year commitment in the role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP experience, specifically in Procure-to-Pay
  • Experience with multinational or global corporate operations
  • CPA

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or equivalent
