- This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
The Assistant Manager will manage several categories within Marvel and 20th Century's consumables business (including Cosmetics, Hair Care, and Oral Care) and developing strategic licensee partnerships to expand distribution and revenue through lifestyle brand initiatives, new product launches, and consumer packaged goods category expansion. You will develop a consumer products programs in connection with content, games and marketing plans.
Help define and execute the strategy for assigned categories including consumer packaged goods, beauty and personal care
Research & understand the competitive landscape. Understand market trends, consumer trends, retailer and industry needs
Pitch new companies to develop consumer products programs in connection with content, games and marketing events
Manage daily relationship with licensees including onboarding, contract negotiation, identifying opportunities, resolving issues, data management, approvals, and promotion
Provide business insights including financial analysis, preparing presentations and other projects
Contribute to internal and external retail presentations and product line reviews
Build team-oriented relationships with other departments, franchise teams and global partners which can result in new business and cross-promotional opportunities
Support Senior Manager for Marvel Consumables team in managing global licensees
Help create retail strategies and identify ways to expand retail presence
Provide product and licensee information to the sales and marketing teams to support retail meetings and presentations
Inform and guide licensees in the execution of marketing initiatives
Ensure licensee participation in retailer promotional and marketing plans
Engage internal Communications and Social Media teams to guide awareness of product lines
Experience or high level of interest in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) category and licensing
Experience with brand and property positioning, retail business development function, retail distribution and the retail environment
Team player mentality
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
4+ years professional experience; 2+ years direct experience
