What You Will Do

This role will work with the DSE Sourcing leadership - Strategic Sourcing, dedicated to Disney Cruise Line. You will be responsible for contract management and creation in support of DCL and DSE contracts.   This Manager will work directly with legal, operations, risk management and stakeholders to ensure the best contractual agreement for DCL and Disney Signature Experiences (DSE).  You will be responsible to lead as an experienced sourcing professional at times training the execution RFX projects from initiation to Contract close-out, inclusive of the management of.

You will be responsible to report out to Sourcing leadership and stakeholders leadership on how contract support is progressing and expected to understand the business and collaborate with key stakeholders on the betterment of systems, processes and practices to optimize how our team upholds Company policy, supports the Client as is scales and develops internal talent. You may be tasked to take on special projects to assist the Senior Manager, other Category Managers, and/ or key leadership to propel business forward.  The person for this opportunity must have experience in being a people leader with expertise in processes; high adaptability and critical thinking skills and experience to demonstrate all said skills in practical examples over 3 to 5 years of direct influence.

  

Responsibilities:

  • Relies on experience and practical judgment to achieve goals
  • Leading or supporting cross-functional teams through full life-cycle sourcing projects including project planning & management, analysis & strategy, supplier evaluation & selection, negotiation, and ongoing supplier relationship management
  • Creating and delivering compelling quantitative analyses and solution-focused presentations that influence key decision-makers
  • Nurturing stakeholder relationships by serving as a business partner, helping identify critical business needs and providing sourcing services, both strategic and tactical, that exceed their expectations
  • Fostering a collaborative environment among stakeholders and with other supporting teams (e.g., Legal, Finance, Risk Management, Walt Disney Imagineering, Segment-specific Sourcing teams, etc.)
  • Mentoring staff and driving internal capability development

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • 7+ years of sourcing or related experience, with at least three years supporting Sourcing function directly
  • 3+ years of leading, developing, managing people
  • Advanced negotiation skills
  • Outstanding communication (both oral and written); along with a high-level of experience in presenting for direct reports, peers and leaders
  • Ability to perform detailed quantitative analysis in MS Excel
  • Strong project management experience
  • Keeps commitments and understands how to prioritize work with urgency
  • Interacts well with people who have different cultures, backgrounds and work styles (Invites diverse points of view)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of sourcing or related experience supporting maritime sourcing. Experience sourcing parks and/ or resort line of businesses
  • Internal or external business consulting experience
  • Experience in designing and implementing new processes and/ or systems in a complex environment
  • Experience participating in the development and deployment of new business applications, preferably in the areas of sourcing, supplier management, contract management, project management, and/or reporting
  • Experience working for and negotiating with Fortune 100 companies
  • Experience with Coupa and other RFX tools
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Finance, Marine/Industrial Engineering, Naval Architecture, Construction Management, or similar discipline is required

Preferred Education:

  • JD and understanding of contractual enforcement and remedies as well as
  • Master’s Degree
  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB)
  • APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
  • ISM Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
  • NCMA Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM)
