Global Travel and Expense Management oversees the technology, processes, and systems that drive travel booking. We also are accountable for expense settlement, commercial credit card management, expense auditing, and end-user support – all in accordance with the guidelines of The Walt Disney Company’s Travel & Entertainment policy.
The Global Travel and Expense Intern provides analytical and reporting support for the Enterprise globally. We are responsible for financial and travel operations reporting, as well as a variety of audits. We also update banking and internal tools to ensure accurate information and create spend analysis. Building relationships with studio/productions, banking partners and internal stakeholders is key to presenting analytical findings to leaders and supporting company credit card holders and card program expansions globally. Our goal is a smooth delivery of corporate and procurement card activities.
A Day in the Life...
As a Corporate Card & Business Expense Management Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to:
Perform credit card account reconciliations to resolve issues and answer questions related to T&E SAP, Concur, and Citibank
Provide studio/production account setup and operational support for Production PCards
Provide audit support to high-risk areas, both end users and internal T&E teams through research and investigation
Establish strong working relationships with our bank contacts by partnering with them to serve our customer base needs
Lead expense type analysis to present to leadership identifying out of policy spend and end users
Professionally respond to customer inquiries by using discretion and judgment, determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution
Safeguard employee information while ensuring compliance to company policy

The ability to handle a high-volume workload in a deadline-driven and fast-paced environment, prioritizing work accordingly
Proficiency in working in a Windows environment; Must be confident with Microsoft Office
Skillful in Excel - including formulas, pivot tables, V-Look Ups and charts
Possess strong analytical, research and decision-making skills
Demonstrates a passion for excellence and strong attention to detail and accuracy
Willingness to learn and grow, and eager to contribute to the team
Strong leaderships skills, takes initiative and has a desire for continuous improvement
Excellent customer service skills with respect to caring for cardholders
Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully partner with various organizations across the company
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information
Aptitude to learn new programs and applications quickly; Quick and eager learner with a “can-do” attitude
Excellent oral/written communication skills; Ability to convey messages quickly, speak professionally, listen attentively and seek clarification when needed
Proven ability to work well in a team environment and independently

Previous work and/or internship experience
Required Education:
Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
Must be enrolled as a junior, senior or graduate student at an accredited college/university, or have graduated within the last 6 months
Pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degree (or recent graduate) in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or related field of study
Additional Recruitment Information:
The approximate dates of this internship are January 2024 – June 2024.
This internship is located in the Orlando, FL area.
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Program
Candidate must be available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship.
This internship is a primarily on-site position which will require a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace.
