Job Summary:

As an IDX Data Warehouse Senior Analyst, you will support the IDX Data Management team to manage data flows and provide business-logic automation for all Disney Vacation Club (DVC) areas including Pay and Performance technical strategy and then implements the resulting rules and methods. You will also ensure 100% data accuracy as much as possible which includes both data flow development and Technology partnership. This can include responsibility for a multi-million dollar Cast commissioned payout process as well as Cast Performance. You will use a mix of technologies and methodologies to develop data foundations and deliveries with the user-experience in mind. In this role, you will be a consultant and developer for business leaders, interface between business and technology teams, and help provide options and identify new opportunities to improve data/reporting/process/system effectiveness.

You will report to the Data Warehousing Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership/Partnership: Autonomously manage, develop and execute backend business-logic automation, reporting and analytics for DVC Pay and Performance. Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including other technology and data teams to improve platform capabilities around data modeling, testing platforms, data visualization, and data architecture.

  • Provide Insights: Using Tableau, AI/ML tools, SSRS and other/future tools provide visual insights to business leaders and executives to help guide decisions and awareness. Also analyze data flow processes for continued optimization

  • Investigative Analysis: Analyze user behavioral data to identify patterns, uncover opportunities, and develop understanding of how people are interacting with DVC and how that translates positively or negatively to success.

  • Data Quality: As an expert on data sources, ensure anomalies/bugs are escalated and if needed workarounds developed to ensure the data is as clean as possible, as these KPI's will become the source of truth for groups.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of analytical experience

  • 3+ years' work experience using SQL

  • Knowledge of data transformation and load (ETL) in tools like SSIS, Dataiku, or equivalent

  • Experience with data exploration and data visualization and reporting tools like Tableau, SSRS, Dataiku, Python, and R

Preferred Qualifications

  • High-level experience with data modeling and predictive analytics

  • Web Development such as HTML, .NET, JavaScript, etc.

  • Microsoft Office 365 Development tools such as Power Development Platform

  • SQL Server, Snowflake, MariaDB

Required Education

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Math or related field.

Preferred Education

MS in a data or statistics related field a plus
