Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Digital (WDP&R Digital) is the digital media arm of Parks and Resorts segment. Through our award-winning websites, we provide a digital portal to magical travel destinations such as the Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida, the Disneyland® Resort in California, Disney Cruise Line, Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort and Shanghai Disney Resort. At WDP&R Digital, we also have designed and created websites for Adventures by Disney, Disney Vacation Club, Aulani and Disney Parks.
With The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) this individual will be a part of our team in Celebration, Florida. This role will work with the Manager of Production, as well as other Production department team members, on standardization, documentation, and executing on requests to make updates to a website through a content management system.
Basic QualificationsWhat you bring …
- Excellent knowledge MS Office Suite specifically Word and PowerPoint
- Advanced Excel skills preferred, including VBA for Excel
- Some knowledge of web site development: HTML, Content Management, and Photoshop
- Some knowledge of project management
- Ability to juggle many projects and people at once
- Ability to assess cause and affect relationships on multiple levels
- Solutions oriented
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work with bicoastal team
- Experience creating executive level presentations
- Calm under pressure
- Good interpersonal skills
What you’ve studied …
Business Management, Advertising, Marketing, or Communications with a strong Technical track, or Web Design and Development. You’ll be pursuing a degree and be a junior, senior, graduate student – or recent graduate (within 6 months of your graduation date).
Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall), or have graduated within the last 6 months prior to participation in the internship program OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
Not have already completed two consecutive (spring/fall) College or Professional Internship Programs
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Must provide full availability for the duration of the internship
Must provide own transportation to/from work
Current Active Disney Cast Members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World Cast Members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland Cast Members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)
Program Length: The dates of this internship are June 2018 through January 2019. You must be available to intern throughout the entire duration of this 6 month period.
