Job Summary:
Disney Institute is looking for an Engagement Manager in Celebration, FL (or Anaheim, CA) that will report to the Delivery Director and support a variety of clients.
You will be the primary advisor and project leader for the design and delivery of private client engagements. Clients vary in size and industry. You will propose, design, and implement learning solutions that help clients drive better business results by leveraging Disney's best practices in leadership excellence, employee engagement, and quality service. The engagement manager defines engagement goals, promoting Disney principles as a guide for taking action and facilitating learning experiences that ensure sustained improvement. You will oversee client relationship management and accountability to engagement milestones.
You Will:
Communicate with external clients, including executives and other leaders, drawing upon leadership experience, business knowledge and Disney Institute insights to both understand client goals/needs and align learning solutions
Strategically build and nurture client relationships to drive incremental business across multiple phases of an ongoing engagement
Lead and project manage the engagement design, delivery format/schedule, and success metrics
Complete discovery/needs assessment process to understand improvement opportunities related to leadership excellence, employee engagement, and quality service
Lead a seamless client learning experience throughout all steps of the account activation roadmap, including pre-program consultation, functional partner support, content customization and facilitation
Develop program materials that are useful in achieving the engagement's shared goals and objectives
Lead train-the-trainer sessions for peers to ensure successful program and content delivery
Collaborate with account management/engagement partners on acquisition and learning sustainment strategies
Demonstrate 5 LAMMP competencies: Personal Leadership, Business Acumen, Project Management, Content Mastery, and Stage Presence
Facilitate Disney Institute learning events as needed
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum five years leadership experience
Demonstrated ability to adapt in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Work in autonomous and structured environments without direction
Demonstrated ability in content development and facilitation for experienced business professionals
Experience coaching individuals and teams to deliver desired client outcomes
Experience translating personal leadership experiences into stories that are relevant to your client's need while enhancing the learning points of the content
Ability to create frameworks and proposals with the intent to close a client relationship
Experience building relationships with executive clients, setting expectations and managing project scope
Project management skills, especially monitoring resources, budgets, and deadlines
Demonstrated comfort in using technology to enhance learning and support important messages
Experience understanding a client's current state and future desired needs and objectives translating them into long-term solutions to deliver upon those goals
Willingness for extensive travel, both within and outside the U.S.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products (DPEP) operational experience
Experience as a senior leader within an organization external to Disney
Experience within adult training, OD, learning and development
Experience facilitating learning experiences to a business audience
People Management/direct report experience or experience guiding team members
Professional certification or association relevant for increasing human performance
Demonstrated experience with change leadership and organizational improvement

Bachelor's degree
