Job Summary:

As an Event Services Assistant, you will provide support to the Services Team and Event Services Managers, by handling daily administrative and clerical duties, while also assisting in the daily operation of the office. You can expect to engage with first time Guests and repeat Guests who have a stay or event activation in any one of our Resorts, Convention Centers, Theme Parks, ESPN Wide World of Sports, Water Parks, Disney Springs, and other event venues. Teamwork, organization, communication, and the ability to prioritize, are keys to success with this high volume, fast paced team.

You will report to the Senior Event Services Manager.

You will

On any given day, as an Event Services Assistant, you might:

  • Handle basic group contact requests and answer questions on behalf of the Event Services manager, both pre-arrival and onsite, with regards to food & beverage, admissions, function space, general resort or park information, event venues, etc.

  • Provide day to day support to Event Services Managers and Team

  • Facilitate phone coverage

  • Build Food & Beverage and Dinner Show agreements

  • Coordinate fulfillment and delivery of tickets and handle returns

  • Lead Guest communication, such as sending intro letters and scheduling conference calls

  • Provide accurate data for deposit collection

You Will Have

Here is what you need to be successful at this job:

  • Outstanding ability to respond and resolve inquiries in a high volume, fast paced environment

  • The organizational skills to work on many requests at the same time, without missing the small details

  • Self-motivation to know when to take alternate action to improve efficiency and work independently

  • Excellent communication and comprehension skills, both verbal and written

  • Problem solving skills, as well as, continuous improvement process skills

  • A passion for outstanding guest service and have at least 6 months’ work experience responding to complicated guest concerns

  • Team focus to support your co-workers, as needed, share standard methodologies, and maintain close partnerships with Cast Members from other lines of businesses

  • Knowledge of Group Markets, Food and Beverage, Resorts Rooms and/or hospitality industry

  • Availability to work a 5-day work week, Monday to Friday, with shifts predominately during standard office hours of 8a to 6p, and some holidays

  • Computer proficiency within a Windows environment

  • Willingness to learn additional new and/or evolving software applications

Preferred Qualifications

It would be great if you also had experience with:

  • Siebel and DSCS Systems

  • Collaborating with key internal partners to problem-solve for outstanding client needs

  • Walt Disney World event function space in Resorts, Theme Parks, and other facilities.

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

This position is located in Orlando, Florida.
