Corporate Intercompany Accounting is responsible for the accounting and proper elimination of intercompany transactions between US and international legal entities. The Intercompany team provides high quality accounting and analytical services to multiple segments both domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities:
Perform accounting and close activities for Stageplays and ESPN
Meet with segment contacts to obtain necessary information pertaining to the close of business units that the intercompany team supports
Draft and record period close journal entries
Perform testing of SOX and other key controls
Completion of monthly GL reconciliations and analysis for variances
Partner with Treasury to ensure the Intercompany settlements are processed efficiently
Support and assist Business partner with inquiries
Develop an understanding of US GAAP accounting to determine appropriate accounting treatment for transactions
Assist with fulfillment of audit requests and compliance deliverables
Support Cast Members by providing assistance with day-to-day issues
Perform and/or support projects or adhoc analysis as necessary
Develop and deliver training to new and existing Cast Members
Basic Qualifications:
2-5 years of corporate accounting experience with focus on intercompany transactions
Demonstrates computer proficiency with Excel
Demonstrates problem solving and continuous improvement skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong partnering skills
Strong analytical skills
Strong customer service skills
Ability to handle high volume work in a deadline driven environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated computer proficiency with PeopleSoft and SAP
CPA or equivalent
Required Education:
Bachelors of Accounting/Finance
Preferred Education:
Masters in Accounting
