The Land Licensing Brand Integration Manager primarily supports the growth for National Geographic Day Tours and National Geographic Journeys.
You will be responsible for ensuring all branded materials produced by the licensees (G Adventures and TUI) for both marketing and operational purposes (including 3rd party distributors) are in compliance with National Geographic brand standards and deliver pax volume. Partner with Public Affairs, Public Relations, and Marketing as required to provide guidance and sign off.
You will oversee Brand Management protecting the National Geographic brand at all times. Ensure achievement of strategic goals is aligned with all internal functional partners. Work with internal stakeholders to help create an immersive National Geographic experience. Ensure the visibility and consistency of National Geographic banding across all departures. Work with licensees to ensure marketing is in adherence to legal, regulatory and brand guidelines. Ensure all communications are approved by functional partners.
Responsibilities:
Ensure all operators comply with brand standards and protect the National Geographic brand at all times. Prepare, share, update and ensure compliance with National Geographic Brand Standards providing Licensee with clear guidelines for their marketing communications both direct (TUI/G Adventures) and indirect (cruise lines, hotel, OTAs).
Ensure all marketing materials produced by the licensee (brochures, mailings, advertising, digital assets) adhere to National Geographic Brand standards. Support delivery of Licensed land pax volume by ensuring the smooth implementation of marketing and communications by the Licensed partner.
Ensure achievement of strategic goals, including alignment/collaboration with internal digital, marketing and PR teams to promote and source guests from all global markets avoiding conflict or duplication.
Work with internal stakeholders (National Geographic Society, National Geographic Publishing, National Geographic TV etc.) to help develop new National Geographic itineraries with strong National Geographic connections and supplement existing itineraries. Help edit or write copy to ensure National Geographic tone of voice.
Ensure the visibility and consistency of National Geographic banding across all departures. Ensure all pre-trip and on trip branded materials are produced and in place with ad hoc audits as required.
Work with licensees to grow 3rd party distribution in line with strategic plans and legal compliance. Ensure Brand is not ‘sub-licensed’ to any 3rd parties and any marketing is in adherence to legal, regulatory and brand guidelines.
Liaise with Guest Relations, Public Relations, Public Affairs and Security and Compliance to ensure all messaging, and crisis management standards are met when communicating to guests and any external media.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years Brand Management experience (with major brand) developing and overseeing design and brand (emotional + rational) guidelines to protect the brand.
Understanding of 3rd party distribution/sales.
Experience managing the creative and print production process; development of online assets; copywriting; licensing or partnership/account management; product development (cruise excursions or group land tours).
Ability to regularly travel overseas as required to audit brand experience on tours.
Motivated self-starter who takes independent action to hold self and Leaders accountable in a metric-driven environment to drive performance.
Strong partnering, influencing, communication, and relationship-building skills, at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
Product development, copywriting and digital marketing exposure within the travel industry (ideally cruise, excursions, day trips or group tours).
Required Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
