Job Summary:

Interested in bringing exciting technology innovations to life for Disney? As a Project Manager, you will deliver high-profile software development projects for Walt Disney World, working with teams across many disciplines. This Project Manager will concurrently manage multiple medium to large-scale digital programs across web and mobile applications, and more specific tracks within much larger scale programs. The Project Manager will ensure delivery for these important projects by working closely with business partners, Product, Technology, and Design.

Responsibilities:

Project Estimation
  • Lead program planning, scoping, discovery, and estimation workshops across many teams
  • Quantify and track project cost including resources, oversight, risks and contingencies
  • Document assumptions and dependencies
  • Prepare high-level plan with estimates for executives

Project Planning
  • Create project schedule and communication plans
  • Make sure that schedule is accomplished including all milestones, dependencies, and individual tasks
  • Establish financial forecasts, expense plans, and estimate resource
  • Validate project scope can be completed within timeline and budget

Project Delivery
  • Lead site-wide programs through the full delivery life-cycle
  • Ensuring project is delivered on-time and on-budget
  • Manage resource assignment, budget, scheduling, scope, and change control
  • Ensure documentation of scope of work with help from cross discipline functional leads
  • Primary liaison among multiple teams, including Product, Design, Technology, Business, and vendors
  • Keep executives and partners in the loop with regular project updates
  • Prevent scope creep, record causes of change, and facilitate change requests
  • Use metrics, including burn-down charts, to promote performance and forecast improvements
  • Build compelling presentations, lead large team sessions, and present to executives

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of project management experience within eCommerce, marketing, merchandising, or operations; consulting experience
  • Project leader for large digital teams (preferably websites, mobile web, and apps) with single project budgets of $2-15M in labor
  • 5+ years Agile delivery experience
  • 2+ years mobile application (iOS, Android) delivery experience
  • 2+ years of client management experience delivering internet solutions
  • Mastery of project management basics including: estimation, project planning, resource planning, issue management, change management, and communication planning).
  • Experience with full lifecycle software delivery from business development to final software acceptance
  • Driver of multiple concurrent projects and managing across multiple teams
  • Track record managing project budgets
