The Senior Financial Analyst role supports Disney Cruise Line (DCL) Shoreside Operations and DCL Consolidations. This role supports ~ 15 different shoreside executives with planning efforts including Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Long Term Plan (LTP), and monthly forecasts, variance analysis, tracking headcount changes, and ad hoc analyses as needed. The role also supports the overall DCL planning processes including revenue analysis and other consolidation functions for LTP, AOP, and, Forecast. In addition, the role is responsible for communicating DCL overall results to key stakeholders and partners and assisting Financial Reporting with the quarterly close process.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary financial support for multiple line of businesses supporting DCL
  • Support overall DCL consolidation process and understanding of business goals and storylines
  • Manage select revenue impacts, reporting, and analysis
  • Track shoreside headcount changes
  • Develop and coordinate key aspects of both the monthly (forecast) and annual planning processes
  • Must work collaboratively with clients and colleagues and exert influence to deliver results
  • Effectively able to communicate financial information and develop executive presentations
  • Connects with the broader Finance organization (i.e. Segment Planning, Financial Reporting)
  • Ensures accuracy of all financial information included in planning processes and financial analysis
  • Develops a comprehensive understanding of the business

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent is required
  • 3+ years of financial and business development/proforma experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated proficiency in quantitative analysis and financial modeling
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems and software (Excel, PowerPoint, SAP)
  • Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities and perform job responsibilities accurately while working in a fast-paced and vibrant environment
  • Demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork/partnering ability
  • Demonstrated business savvy with a strong understanding of the external market, economic, and competitive forces
  • Previous experience in Financial Planning & Analysis; understanding of traditional finance cycle (LTP, AOP, Forecast, etc.)
  • Ability to simplify complex issues and incorporates effective “storytelling” to engage and influence the audience
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver presentations and communication to audiences of all levels persuasively, articulately and with full command of the topic
