Consumer Insight, Measurement & Analytics (CIMA) is part of the Disney Parks, Experiences and Products (DPEP) segment of The Walt Disney Company. CIMA influences data-driven and consumer-centric decision making with integrated, objective, and actionable insights.

As the Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics & Optimization within the Advanced Analytics &Optimization (AAO) Team in CIMA, you will enable insight related to the impact of various inputs that influence consumer conversion to a Disney theme park visit. This role reports to the Director, Advanced Analytics & Optimization, and will be based in Orlando, FL.

Responsibilities:

You’ll join a fast-paced team of professionals that enable analytically driven capabilities to support the full range of travel and consumer products offerings within the broader DPEP organization.

The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for the following:
  • Advanced Analytics Consulting and Project Management: lead a team responsible for the delivery of advanced analytics projects to various organizations including: Research/Consumer Insights, Attendance/Revenue Forecasting, Business Planning and Revenue Management, Commercial Strategy, Marketing Strategy, and Sales Strategy.
  • Advanced Scenario Planning capabilities: develop advanced scenario planning tools that include media and the following pricing, product, and PEST (political, economic, social, and technological) factors.
  • Advanced Analytics for Consumer Insights: Work with the DPEP Consumer Insights group to develop advanced analytical solutions to identify important guest behaviors and recommend actions to drive desired outcomes.
  • International markets: Develop analytics insights for leading international markets
  • KPI Analysis: Develop advanced statistical models to support analysis, incremental measurement, and forecasting of key commercial drivers and indicators (e.g., web traffic, promotions, new product introductions and events), exploring their interactions with marketing and sales initiatives.
  • General Team Leadership Activities

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in leading large scale analytic projects
  • Knowledge of various statistical methods including; regression, random forest, and clustering techniques.
  • Familiarity with statistical, reporting, and database tools (i.e. Tableau, Python, SAS, Snowflake, R, etc.)
  • Experience in scenario (“what if”) analysis.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to partner with others and deal effectively with multiple projects and changing priorities
  • Team collaboration and experience working cross-functionally across different teams
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop and articulate actionable, fact-based, insights and recommendations
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior DPEP experience, preferably within Marketing, Sales, Revenue Management, or Finance.
  • Travel industry experience

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with concentration in Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, Finance or similar discipline

Preferred Education

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience with a concentration in Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, Finance or similar discipline

This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
