Job Summary:

Disney e-Commerce is looking for a motivated, creative, Digital Merchandiser to join the Site Merchandising team. The Digital Merchandiser will lead the strategy, innovation and development of the ecommerce guest experience. You will partner with cross-functional teams across marketing and technology to grow the digital business by delivering a seamless, friction-free guest journey on shopDisney.com and the shopDisney mobile app through optimizations across digital tactics including (but not limited to) navigation, content, site analytics and on-site search. The ideal Digital Merchandiser will be problem solving, results oriented, analytical, and self-starting with a passion for the guest.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish digital merchandising strategies to improve multi-platform guest experience (desktop, mobile, and app) to ensure seamless guest lifecycle for shopDisney.com
  • End-to-end management of essential categories with direct accountability for increasing performance and divisional results
  • Use marketing channel understanding around retention vs. acquisitional channel strategies to develop targeted on-site messages and content to guests
  • Use important guest behavior data including product views, conversion, bounce rate and engagement to inform on-site navigation, content development and on-page optimizations
  • Manage and help Assistant Site Merchandiser maintain the accuracy of the product information within assigned categories, i.e. correct categorization, attribution, recommendation optimization, product details, bundle creation etc.
  • Manage setup and testing of all promotional activity for omni-channel promotional plan with Assistant Site Merchandiser.
  • Partner with Ecommerce buyers to identify merchandise to feature in content and develop site merchandising strategies to support merchandise and business priorities to drive conversion, demand and margin.
  • Work closely with Site Merch Manager and technology partners to provide recommendations related to site improvements including digital features and capabilities to enhance guest experience
  • Partner with Site Merch Manager to Identify, develop and utilize A/B testing and multi-variate testing to optimize content and on-site feature/functionality to enhance guest experience online.
  • Partner with Site Merch Manager to develop on-site personalization experiences through guest segmentation, customer groups, source codes and sort algorithms.
  • Work with peers and leaders to communicate the business needs of online retailing to translate franchise, brand and synergy business tactics to support product growth and overall TWDS strategies.
  • Improve multi-platform guest experience across desktop, mobile and app to ensure seamless guest lifecycle.
  • Work with peers and leaders to communicate the unique business needs of online retailing to translate franchise, brand and synergy business tactics to support product growth and overall TWDS strategies.
  • Communicate with site integrated 3rd party partners i.e ratings sites, technology providers, customization providers etc.
  • Identify operational and process flow opportunities and partner with team members to find solutions.
  • Coach and grow assistant site merchandiser through close mentorship around ecommerce tactics and practices

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in digital merchandising
  • Cross-category retail experience preferred with a strong understanding and passion for consumer-focused ecommerce
  • Working understanding of marketing channels, tactics, and end-to-end consumer lifecycle
  • Familiarity in MS Office Suite
  • Ability to adapt to change, urgency, and new systems and tools
  • Effective multi-tasker with strong sense of accountability, ownership and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Analytics
  • Salesforce Commerce Cloud experience strongly recommended

Preferred Education

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
