Disney Parks & Resorts Digital (DPRD) is a division of the Walt Disney Company that is responsible for the creation of online, mobile, and other digital experiences at Disney’s vacation brands, including Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, Shanghai Disney Resort, Disneyland Paris Resort, Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club, and other subsidiaries. DPRD is responsible for the design, development, and upkeep of Disney Resorts websites and mobile applications (i.e. Shop Disney Parks, My Disney Experience app, waltdisneyworld.com, etc.) to help Disney guests have a seamless digital experience.
Based in Orlando, FL and reporting to the Director, eCommerce, the Testing & Optimization Intern will support efforts to increase revenue and interactions on Parks and Resorts’ websites through A/B testing. The ideal candidate will understand user testing principles and have a strong grasp of telling stories with numbers.
Job Specific Scope
-Identify opportunities for optimization in copy, design, and user flows on Parks and Resorts’ websites.
-Integrate input from stakeholders (e.g. Product Management, Design, Technology, and Executives) to define A/B tests.
-Write business rules and acceptance criteria for A/B tests.
-Provide quality assurance assistance as tests are developed and launched.
-Create presentations to propose test ideas and communicate test results.
Junior, Senior or graduate level student, or recent graduate (within 6 months of the internship start date) pursuing a degree with course work related to the work described.
Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall), or have graduated within the last 6 months prior to participation in the internship program OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
Not have already completed two consecutive (spring/fall) College or Professional Internship Programs
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Must provide full availability for the duration of the internship
Must provide own transportation to/from work
Current Active Disney Cast Members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World Cast Members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland Cast Members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)
Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are June 2017 through January 2018.
Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.
