The Content Claiming Specialist will be responsible for reviewing user generated videos for the purposes of content claiming. You will also be responsible for utilizing search techniques to discover new potential claims. This position will work with the Content Claiming Manager to provide regular reporting and presentations on claiming activity. The claiming associate will also help influence company techniques and strategy as it relates to content claiming


  • Work in Maker’s various YouTube CMS accounts to review and claim videos
  • Develop, innovate and use descriptive search techniques to discover potential claims
  • Create reports for legal and business teams on potential copyright infringing UGC videos
  • Provide daily, weekly, and/or monthly reports and presentations as needed for business metrics (including claimed videos, views, revenue and other KPIs)
  • Support claiming manager and Content Claiming Lead with ad hoc projects and reports relating to claiming business
  • Ideal Content Claiming Specialist is a self-motivated worker who thrives in an environment that relies on their self-discipline and ability to meet daily and long term deadlines

Basic Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of YouTube CMS accounts and Content ID system
  • Preferably with at least 1 year of experience working with online video at an MCN, digital division of a media company, or digital rights management firm
  • Basic understanding of audiovisual rights management
  • Ability to find and identify content trends through creative searches
  • Experience creating reports in Excel and presentations using PowerPoint for management
  • Aptitude to learn additional online resources and 3rd party user interfaces for claiming
  • A strong communicator, with superior organizational skills, ability to manage time and prioritize across multiple projects and extreme attention to audiovisual detailCollaborative, positive, and thrives while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
