ABC11/WTVD, the ABC Owned Television station in Raleigh-Durham-Fayetteville, North Carolina, has a need for a talented designer like yourself. However, talent alone only gets you so far. Along with having a dynamic portfolio, you must have the drive, an eye for detail, and most importantly the ability to adapt.
This position will challenge you to find new ways to visually communicate ideas and themes, all in the effort of promoting the ABC11 brand. Your ability to communicate effectively through use of typography, video, and composition is essential; along with your ability to thrive under pressure and meet daily deadlines.
Responsibilities:
This role will be working on same day turnaround news graphics that are requested by producers, including still graphics and animations primarily in Photoshop and After Effects.
Outside of news we work on a wide range of projects, including but not limited to station promos, print ads, web ads, social media assets, and content for specials, and graphics packages for our brands.
As part of the Art Department you will report to the Art Director, working daily with our team of artists. We work regularly with News producers and reporters to fulfill requests for shows, as well as with our extended Marketing department on promotions, events, print material and a wide range of projects.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of graphic design & animation experience (news experience preferred but not required)
Experience with Adobe After Effects and Photoshop required, any additional Adobe app experience is welcome
Experience working with Cinema 4D , Unreal Engine and/or other 3D design tools is a plus
Education:
Bachelors in any relevant field preferred but not required, your experience and demo reel / portfolio is heavily weighted.
