Onboard and provide farm support for all productions within the studio pipeline
Engage with Pixar artists/engineers in debugging technical issues and questions.
Active involvement with daily tasks to keep multiple shows running efficiently.
Ensure farm health using various monitoring tools.
Assist with maintaining, provisioning and repairing farm machines using various software tools.
Document standard runbooks and operating procedures
Collaborate and communicate across production and other technical departments.
Participate in rotation of off-hours on call support
Pipeline experience in film or animation or visual effects industry.
Excellent verbal and written communication with users of various technical levels
Experience in system administration, internet protocols, machine lifecycle supporting Linux (RedHat/CentOS preferred) on various platforms (virtual/baremetal/on-demand)
Experience working with and maintaining configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt, or similar)
Proficiency with diagnostic and performance monitoring tools (Cacti, Zabbix, Splunk, Grafana, etc)
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree or work experience
Programming skills in one or more scripting languages (Python, Go, Bash, etc.)
Understanding of Revision Control Systems, preferably Perforce and Git
Experience with virtualization and container platforms such as Docker, VMWare, KVM, Rancher
