About Us Pixar’s Endpoint Management Team provides comprehensive, customer-focused support to the creators of some of the most iconic and beloved films of all time. The team creates exceptional technology experiences for Pixarians by ensuring that their computers, mobile devices, printers, peripherals and software are functional, secure, and well-integrated into the rest of the studio. About You You are passionate about technology in the workplace, and especially all things Apple - from iMacs to iPhones, Keynote to iCloud and everything in between. You care deeply about empowering people to take ownership of their computing experiences, and can demystify technical concepts to the layperson. You enjoy the challenge of complex problems, and understand that troubleshooting can be as much an art as it is a science. You respond promptly to today’s issues, but are inclined to automate solutions wherever possible. You effortlessly switch between an independent and a collaborative approach to problem solving, depending on the context at hand. You are excited by a fast-paced production environment where creativity and innovation are paramount. Most of all, you are inspired by technology and its role in making people productive and happy.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: 

  • Manage, prioritize and resolve the IT Work Requests assigned to you
  • Participate in triage, troubleshooting, and assigning of incoming Work Requests
  • Serve as Tier 2 support for escalations from the help desk
  • Participate in help desk rotations as needed
  • Collaborate with Tier 3 engineers on complex issues as needed
  • Craft clear and concise documentation
  • Effectively communicate IT policy to the Pixar community
  • Evaluate software and hardware for use at the studio
  • Contribute to cross-team projects that improve the computing environment at Pixar
  • Assist with the backup, restoral and transfer of user data between local disks, cloud solutions and network shares
  • Participate in onboarding/offboarding, including account management, asset deployment, recovery and tracking, and peripheral support
  • Take an active role in shaping your professional development


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Hybrid schedule, spending at least three days per week at Pixar’s magnificent campus
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Occasionally requires extensive standing, walking, sitting, and working in awkward locations, such as data centers, theater projection booths, and under desks

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • 3+ years supporting macOS and iOS
  • Comfortable navigating and using a Unix shell
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and document project work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex tasks and responsibilities

NICE-TO-HAVE EXPERIENCE: 

  • Jamf Pro administration
  • IT support in an enterprise environment
  • Supporting artists in a film studio or similar production environment
  • Using and supporting Adobe products and other artist tools
  • Scripting and automation tools
  • Windows support, including hardware, Microsoft Office, and AD account management
