We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Advisor to join the DPEP (Disney Parks, Experiences and Products) HR team at Disney on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The HR Advisor will provide comprehensive and professional Human Resources support to the DPEP teams and be part of the wider HR community within The Walt Disney Company (TWDC). 

This role will provide proactive advice and support across the HR spectrum, which includes employee relations, performance management, absence management, and support the department with annual processes such as annual salary reviews and bonus planning. As well as supporting the HR Director and Senior HRBP to develop and deliver HR services that meet the needs of the business and align to the HR People strategy.
 

The Opportunity & Responsibilities:

  • Support the HR Director and Senior HRBP with key projects and initiatives for the department.  Strive for continuous improvement of process through evaluation and offering suggestions
  • Own appropriate employee relations conversations and end-to-end processes to include long-term sick, flexible working and performance management. Collaborate with key stakeholders and HR centres of excellence including, Compensation & Benefits, Legal, Health & Safety, Employee Relations, Payroll and Talent Acquisition and escalate to HR Director/Senior HRBP as necessary to ensure appropriate resolution
  • Support the Senior HRBP with employee relations matters; investigate and note take for fact-finding and formal procedures 
  • In partnership with the Senior HRBP, track and coordinate headcount activity and accurately coordinate information to support headcount and compensation approval, headcount approvals, and Global HR Operations (GHRO) processes
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to assist with the implementation and communication of agreed policies and TWDC initiatives
  • Partner with and provide support to the team on all necessary HR activity
  • Accurately produce, collate and distribute HR correspondence as directed and within agreed deadlines.  Ensure that confidential and sensitive information is treated accordingly
  • Produce, review, maintain and analyse accurate employee lifecycle data and use this to make recommendations for improvements 
  • As required, support recruitment processes – to include, maintaining job descriptions
  • Communicate to Cast Members through multiple channels (in person, email, phone, video call).  Communications include providing timely guidance and advice and supporting employees and line managers to interpret and implement policy and procedure
  • As required, own and be responsible for administering the purchase order (PO) process - track PO/P Card information accurately and efficiently.  With the support of the coordinator, liaise with internal and external suppliers to resolve issues and ensure that vendors are paid on time

  • Experience of working within an HR generalist function and with highly sensitive and confidential information, essential
  • Experience of note taking and advising on employee relations matters, essential
  • Experience and confidence in applying HR knowledge and practice
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influencing across all levels
  • Knowledge of internal process and systems, beneficial
  • Experience of MS Office applications including Word, Excel and Powerpoint and video call technology including Zoom and Teams
