- This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
This position supports Disney Consumer Products, Games and Publishing (CPGP) Special Events with miscellaneous event-related projects and/or tasks during the planning and execution for internal, press, consumer and business-to-business events.
Provide support to the Event Team members as required; and could include the following activities:
Assist with event logistical planning, invite lists and budgeting across the full CPGP Events slate, as needed – including projects for partners in Disney Princess & Animation, Pixar, Marvel, National Geographic, 20th Century Fox, ESPN, Lucasfilm, Disney Media, Classics and Entertainment, Third Party Retail, Global Product Creation, Walt Disney Games, Interactive Experiences, Disney Publishing Worldwide, and Internal Communications. Independently plan and execute small-scale meetings & events that include room set-up, catering, audio visual support requests, signage, etc.
Prepare agendas for and attend event-related project team meetings, create and disseminate meeting recaps
Organize and prepare event materials, product samples, signage, décor, etc. as directed by the event management
General event support to include: set-up and load-in, help staffing during events, (e.g., check-in, as a brand ambassador, logistical support, etc.) and assist with post-event strike, box up, shipping, etc.
Manage event attendee lists, invitation process, rooming lists and other event details.
Curate and design events-related deck collateral.
Coordinate logistics around event influencer/press seeding boxes and mailers.
Coordinate shipping logistics for at-home camera kits and remote filming needs.
Maintain and update Event Slate Outlook Calendar.
Independently plan and execute small-scale meetings & events.
Support team administrative tasks like invoice processing, card management, onboarding/offboarding and distribution list upkeep.
Scope of Work:
While job duties are performed in a remote and in-office flexible working environment, the workload may require this position to support activities throughout the office complex, offsite locations, and/or in inclement weather. Walking or standing for long periods of time is not unusual.
The candidate should be a team player and eager to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Although this position has moderate decision-making responsibilities, the individual should be comfortable interfacing with other DPEP employees, management & vendors.
Willingness and availability to travel domestically and internationally as needed, and work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary
Proficient in Microsoft Office Software and Google Doc applications
Excellent grammar and communication skills
Must be able to multi-task and prioritize assignments on deadline, in a fast paced environment.
Organized, detail-oriented and proactive
Minimum 1 year of event coordination, production or equivalent experience
Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Meeting Planning, Marketing, Business, or Communications or equivalent experience
Prior Disney experience and/or knowledge of the Disney brand
Driven by guiding principles of being service oriented, creative, nimble, fresh, ROI focused, disruptive and optimistic
This is a temporary 12-month assignment with no guarantee of placement.
