- This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.

Job Summary:

Responsible for dialogue production, collaborate in voice recording, dialogue mixing and mastering, script preparation, audio quality control, and asset coordination across media products for Disney Publishing. Secondary tasks may include other audio-related tasks on an as-needed basis.

You will report to the Audio Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Produce new dialogue in the studio, on location, and remotely, maintaining the highest standards of quality, brand awareness, including the complicated needs of interactive products.

  • Inventory and quality control audio materials at important milestones in the production process.

  • Collaborate in the recording of voice actors.

  • Mix dialogue assets to fit into media products, keeping in mind multiple use cases and device limitations that accommodate voice, sound effects, and music.

  • Collaborate with other Disney groups to obtain, use, and repatriate dialogue assets.

  • Help with casting of Voice Over talent and book recording sessions.

  • Work with third-party vendors, including recording studios, post-production facilities, and freelancers.

  • Review and Quality Assurance in-progress products

  • Help coordinate reviews and address notes from internal and external sources.

  • Prepare, improve, and proofread scripts and other materials for use in voice recording sessions.

  • Sound design and music edit.

Basic Qualifications

  • At least one year experience in dialogue audio recording, editing and mixing in a professional environment.

  • Experience recording, editing, and mixing in Pro Tools.

  • Experience with audio-only products (no visual).

  • Experience ingesting assets from multiple sources (feature film, television) and adapting them for use across multiple platforms and devices.

  • Experience with several varieties of audio equipment, especially digital audio workstations, audio plug-ins, and microphones.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Disney franchises.

  • Use and maintain an audio digital asset management solution, such as Soundminer.

  • Experience with international language localization, recording in a non-native language, and ability to edit in a non-fluent language.
