The Disneyland Business Leader Rotation Program is a full-time, entry-level program designed to provide recent college graduates a hands-on, interdisciplinary learning experience across a broad range of business areas through the Disneyland Resort. Participants will have the unique opportunity to experience 3-4 rotations over a 2 year program. During the rotation program, participants will:
  • Tackle relevant projects
  • Receive ongoing mentorship from senior leaders
  • Participate in a robust & targeted learning & development curriculum
  • Develop key technical and leadership skills
  • Build a deep network with Disney Cast Members
  • Upon completion of the program, successful participants will be placed in a role in alignment with their development and career interests, setting them up for future leadership roles
Currently seeking undergraduate seniors available for full-time employment beginning July 2020.


  • Dive deep into data to provide recommendations on current and future Disney endeavors
  • Problem-solve and influence others with your positive attitude and insightful nature
  • Understand key business initiatives / data to allow for influential decision making
  • Rotate through 3-4 of the following:
Asia Pacific (APAC) Operations Development
Support critical initiatives at Disney parks in Asia working with partners at Shanghai Disney Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland, Tokyo Disney Resort, and Walt Disney Imagineering
Collect, analyze, interpret and present data and other information to support a range of strategic, operational and development-related projects
Apply financial analysis, statistics, simulation and forecasting to solve complex business problems

Consumer Insights
Use data to solve challenges and provide insights and recommended course of action for partners and leaders to make business decisions
Mine and analyze data using statistical packages to provide insights to Executives and partners in a compelling and creative way
Contribute to the design and research studies, applying appropriate techniques to address business needs

Identify ways to improve conversion through improved experiences within the Disneyland website and app
Manage vendor relationships and implementation of tools and services that support various initiatives with a focus on machine-learning and AI to create more streamlined, relevant and magical Guest experiences
Aid in creating dashboards and status update decks on key initiatives for Executives to showcase Digital initiatives

Develop strategic and financial analysis to evaluate on-going and new business initiatives
Prepare qualitative and quantitative analysis on financial feasibility studies, market opportunity assessments, market entry strategies and pro forma valuations
Review and summarize operating performance and key business drivers for business areas and Executives

Industrial Engineering
Apply analytics and process improvement to efforts geared toward improving Guest satisfaction, reducing costs and driving revenue
Consult with clients to improve business results through operational planning support, capacity/demand analysis and productivity/process improvement
Apply IE techniques (statistics simulation, forecasting, optimization) to solve complex business problems

Marketing Strategy
Leverage consumer motivations and barriers to implement business strategies, marketing communications programs and brand initiatives to build awareness, enhance the brand and achieve business objectives
Analyze and interpret data to determine marketing program performance
Contribute to the development and implementation of integrated marketing plans and product content to deliver against business objectives and budgets

Revenue Management & Analytics
Determine pricing for rooms and tickets for an optimal Guest experience
Blend forecasts and planning to create dynamic pricing solutions
Streamline visitation metrics and income drivers into concise reporting on attendance and admissions revenue

Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) Master Menu Planning
Influence Disney’s future by working with the team that sets the project agenda for the entire slate of projects WDI will develop
Analyze and identify opportunities for more optimized investment strategies, feeding directly into recommendations for Executives to include in the long-term plan
Track and status projects in flight to ensure projects are on pace and budget to be released to Guests

Workforce Management
Synthesize and analyze historic demands and utilization data to identify and illustrate labor and staffing optimization opportunities
Consult and influence leaders and partners (HR, IE, Tech, etc.) using data visualization to develop creative solutions for more efficient labor deployment
Apply statistical models and methodology to develop, evaluate and enhance transaction and labor forecasts across multiple business units

Basic Qualifications

Our ideal candidate demonstrates a combination of academic aptitude, quantitative skills, personal motivation, and advanced written and oral communications skills.

We are looking for individuals who have the following background:
  • Business experience through internships, part-time work, and/or campus involvement
  • Proven ability to take on leadership positions or significant responsibility
  • Integrated and critical thinker, with the ability and desire to integrate data into decisions
  • Strong desire to work on value-added projects and diplomatically challenge the status quo
  • Proven history of making decisions and recommendations informed by evidence
  • Ability to translate technical information to non-technical audience through storytelling and strong partnerships
  • The ability to build strong relationships in a highly professional, “client service orientation” environment
  • Flexible, “special-projects” orientation coupled with solid multi-tasking abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internship or work experience in an analytical, statistical, or business-related field
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge in Excel
  • Previous experience with a statistical package
  • Familiarity with Access, R, Python, SQL, SAS, SPSS or other analytical tools
  • Previous experience with data visualization tools
  • Basic understanding of Tableau or Power BI

Required Education

  • Recent college graduate or currently enrolled in a college or university, working towards a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Sciences, Economics, Finance, Business Strategy, Statistics, or other related field
  • GPA of 3.0
  • Anticipated completion of undergraduate degree no later than June 2020.

Preferred Education

  • GPA of 3.5+
