Job Summary:

The Manager, Rights Management collaborates closely with the regional sales and legal teams in North America, EMEA, APAC & LATAM to obtain availability and rights information related to all content that is intended for the Disney+ and Star/Star+ applications worldwide, ensure the data stored in the system of record is accurate, and downstream systems receive this information on time. This role requires a deep understanding of rights management and the media landscape. The resource must have strong analytical skills and the ability to comprehend complex, multi-territory deals. The role requires an individual with strong critical thinking skills, extreme attention to detail, advanced organization and an ability to lead a team through advanced processes and challenges. Prior experience utilizing rights management systems and advanced excel modelling skills is required.

This is a key role for the Disney+ Global Content Operations team and supports an extremely demanding and challenging area of the business. This individual will serve as the go-to person for market information and be accountable for accurately determining/validating the availability of content worldwide. The role provides an exciting opportunity to be involved in a critical and growing part of the distribution business and an opportunity to learn about the complexities and nuances of licensing to and managing global/client and deals.


Serve as the Global Content Ops & Disney+ expert of global deal setup in all Disney Streaming & Hotstar systems.
Manage the process for obtaining rights and temporary downloads, and ensure all DRO’s (distribution rights out) are sent downstream to appropriate internal systems
Oversees Rights Management team’s performance and workflows with legal teams across TWDC globally.
Create, evaluate, and refine strategy to meet SLAs and KPIs

Basic Qualifications:

5+ years’ experience in a rights management or similar role in distribution
5+ years’ experience running complex projects & programs
Strong analytical and data management skills
Experience working in technology organizations

Required Education

Bachelors Degree

Preferred Education

Master’s Degree/additional education in legal/public policy or quantitative analysis (Business, Economics) preferred
