We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Coordinator (Project Hire) at our Glendale, CA studio.

Reporting to the marketing project management lead at Disneytoon Studios, the Marketing Coordinator assists with managing the timely distribution of all creative assets and communications for DTS films, including all project development and approvals in support of film marketing to ensure accuracy, integrity and highest creative quality of all DTS marketing materials shared with internal and external partners. The Marketing Coordinator also assists in various publicity activities that support Disneytoon Studios, as well as manage the collection, organization, and curation of the research and art elements for each production.

This position is a Project Hire with an anticipated end date of June 2019



Responsibilities

  • Manage the assembly, distribution and cataloging of creative assets in support of the film campaign to internal and external partners (global pitch kits, film reference guides, visual development reference images, final frames, etc).
  • Engage the Studio Creative Print and Creative Content teams to assist in the development of marketing print elements (character poses, posters, outdoor creative, etc.) and toolkit animations for DTS films.
  • Partner closely with long-lead Disney Consumer Products & Interactive Media and Disney Publishing Worldwide teams on their product development, packaging and creative guide projects.
  • Assist with managing day-to-day asset and film reference requests from partners, creative assets from the production or access to filmmakers, including securing any necessary approvals for requests.
  • Utilize production tools in conjunction with marketing resources to organize and deliver creative assets.
  • Facilitate filmmaker reviews and approvals for submissions of product design and development; document status and communicate back to partners.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of slides and A/V content for domestic and international presentations to internal partners, exhibitors, licensees, promotional partners, press, etc.
  • Interface with DTS and Walt Disney Animation Studios post-production teams to create and deliver A/V elements for reference and presentations.
  • Supervise the legal clearances process for all internal and external-facing marketing and presentation materials.
  • Coordinate and execute domestic and international screenings of DTS films.
  • Track significant deadlines/deliverables of marketing collateral and drive marketing milestone calendar updates by tracking key deadlines and needs for important information.
  • Manage DTS asset availability reports for distribution and update film franchise documents that incorporate all support activity surrounding each film.
  • Organize and catalogue distributed assets.
  • Assist in publicity activities, including but not limited to: publicity asset delivery, interview scheduling, arranging press days and assembling portfolios of press mentions for films.
  • Support Publicity by organizing bios, headshots and miscellaneous execution of press events.
  • Coordinate the awards submission process for DTS films.
  • Act as a liaison with technology regarding setup, implementation, and operation of the asset management database for each project.
  • Manage and curate the capture of project research. visual development, and asset creation done in development and production.

Basic Qualifications

  • Previous experience in film marketing/communications and creative asset management. Experience in Print and Audio/Visual Marketing is preferred.
  • Ability to develop strong and effective relationships with creative and executive personnel.
    Comfortable interacting with high level representatives of various Disney divisions and outside entities.
  • Capacity to deeply understand and navigate cultures within The Walt Disney Company.
  • Delivers consistent high quality work across multiple projects under tight timelines.
  • Has a superior understanding of multi-tasking, organizing, communication and teamwork.
  • Excellent written, verbal, analytical and presentation skills.
  • Resourceful, flexible and detail oriented.
  • Motivated, creative and highly curious nature.

  • Working knowledge of the CG animation process.
  • Strong sense of narrative storytelling.
  • Media capabilities, including basis photo and video editing.
Required Technical Skills
  • High-level expertise required in Keynote, Photoshop, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Aspera Faspex (Web-based FTP Software), Box, proprietary CMS, and video manipulating software (QuickTime Pro, iMovie).
  • Advanced working knowledge of database functionality.
  • Experience in Illustrator and PowerPoint are also preferred

Preferred Education

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or other related field or equivalent work experience is preferred.
