Job Summary:

The Walt Disney Company’s Direct-to-Consumer and International segment (DTCI) is a global, multiplatform media, technology and distribution organization for high-quality content created by Disney’s Studio Entertainment and Media Networks groups.

The Online Content Production Intern plays a critical role assisting in the daily production of Lucasfilm digital videos and online content. The main responsibilities of this position entail assistant editing and quality control, however the intern may also assist with other tasks ranging from pre to post production, to copy review and creative ideation. The ideal candidate must have a strong interest in pursuing a career in digital content development and production as well as have a passion for entertainment culture. The intern will be working hand in hand with the Lucasfilm Online content producers along with other Content team members to bring content to life.


A day in the life…
  • Sharing a great eye and ear for editing (primarily compiling timelines of specific characters, scenes, sound FX, or sound bytes).
  • Assisting in lighting of sets, monitoring audio recordings, and shooting secondary camera.
  • Exporting and archiving multiple versions of videos.
  • Contributing to quality control
  • Contributing to the idea creation of content pieces for in-house production.
  • Various other production tasks.

Basic Qualifications:

You bring…
  • Competency with Adobe Premiere Pro or other NLE system.
  • Basic knowledge of other Adobe Creative Suite programs (specifically After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Audition).
  • Solid understanding of export requirements and video formats.
  • Experience shooting video with Canon cameras a plus.
  • Extremely high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and creative ideas in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion, appreciation and knowledge of Lucasfilm IP (i.e. Star Wars, Indiana Jones) essential.

Required Education

Working towards or recently completed an undergraduate degree in video production or related field. Juniors, seniors and recent grads are preferred.

Additional Information:

At least 18 years of age
Unrestricted work authorization
Available full time for 12 weeks from May/June through August/September
Ability to provide own relocation, housing and transportation. Position is located in San Francisco, CA.
Enrolled in an undergraduate program at a college/university taking at least one class in the semester prior to participation in the internship program, or recently graduated within six months at time of application
