DCPI comprises two main lines of business: Disney Consumer Products (DCP), and Disney Interactive (DI). The combined segment is home to world class teams of app and game developers, licensing and retail experts, a leading retail business (Disney Store), artists and storytellers, and technologists who inspire imaginations around the world.

The Sr. Manager, Business Development and Market Strategy is a key player and responsible for developing and ensuring the execution of Disney Interactive games distribution strategy, identifying and securing incremental revenue opportunities and overseeing select relationships globally. You will expand content across multiple platforms and secure deals/relationships that make a significant impact on the organization. We are looking for an experienced, focused, talented and motivated executive who can work in a fast-paced environment for our business development team.


  • Incubate and grow digital games portfolio through distribution expansion, new content, and promotions
  • Using market analysis, develop recommendations on strategic opportunities with a focus on games and emerging technology
  • Drive product and go-to-market strategy for games across platforms (console/PC/mobile) and formats (physical/digital/hybrid)
  • Regularly provide executive leadership with perspective on new market developments
  • Continually refine content distribution strategy across strategic accounts
  • Evaluate and drive new and existing business development opportunities with platform holders and third parties
  • Own and manage DI relationships with PC partners, continually evaluating portfolio available and ways to monetize it
  • Manage data/research services relationships including contract renegotiations
  • Identify and secure new distribution opportunities for our PC/online games, including expanding existing relationships and maximizing global reach
  • Partnering with the Business Development team, track the performance of each partnership against key targets
  • Analyze, model and structure deal parameters and terms for new business partners
  • Establish and maintain a deep understanding of the worldwide mobile gaming industry and trends as a means to identify business opportunities
  • Work closely with and manage the competing needs of multiple Disney stakeholders in order to quickly push through strategic, high impact deals from start to finish within a large complex organization
  • Work closely with Legal and Finance regarding rights issues, accounting requirements/regulations and best practices

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience in online, console, mobile and/or social business development
  • Strategic thinking and keen negotiating skills including experience negotiating third party relationships as principal with a deep understanding of the online, console, mobile and social gaming business
  • Strong ability to comprehend structure and negotiate complex business agreements, strong business and financial acumen, and superior analytical and writing skills.
  • Excellent at presenting diverse information in a clear, concise manner with a data supported point of view.
  • High degree of quantitative and analytical experience in media or technology.
  • Fluency in business-critical applications: Word, Excel, Keynote, Outlook, Powerpoint

Required Education

  • BA required

Preferred Education

  • MBA degree
