Global Security is responsible for protecting the people, properties, assets, information and brand of the Walt Disney Company and all of its owned companies. The Global Security Technology Team drives governance, operational, and fiscal efficiency of security systems that serve as key components to security service delivery across four lines of business and six international geographies.


Global Security is looking for a Senior Manager, Global Security Technology to lead the lifecycle management for all corporate security technology systems that support threat intelligence, workplace security, the Global Security Communications Center, security operations, investigations, crisis management, and strategy/communications services. The Senior Manager will serve as the enterprise thought leader and subject matter expert for physical security, incident management, information management, and security operations center communications systems.

In addition, the Senior Manager will on a regular basis:
  • Supervise a project manager and a team of senior analysts charged with funding, building, sustaining, and as needed, transferring or retiring security systems.
  • Define system maturity levels, technical service catalogue, and key performance metrics.
  • Drive security technology standards and policy development.
  • Lead financial forecasting requirements and assists the Director in the preparation of both the annual and 5 year operating budget.
  • Consolidate security technology acquisition processes across the enterprise to maximize fiscal and operational efficiency for the company.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Technology partners on implementing a cloud migration roadmap and maintaining vulnerability management currency.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10-12 years of experience in a security function through corporate, academic, military, and/or law enforcement environments.
  • A minimum of 7 years experience in a supervisory capacity with responsibility for security systems.
  • Substantive technical experience with enterprise-grade physical security systems including access control, key control, and video surveillance management.
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise-grade security incident management platforms, dispatch, travel tracking, emergency mass notification, and radio-over-IP communications.
  • Experience with the identification of software and hardware solutions, design selection, vendor evaluation and implementation of multiple security platforms.
  • Experience managing projects and overseeing budget, allocation of resources, goal development and timeline management.
  • Experience providing leadership, oversight and evaluation of direct report employees and indirect reporting personnel in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Excellent personal communication and diplomacy skills.
  • Familiar with SAP, SQL, and MS Server.
    Proficient with Microsoft Office.
    Proficient with IT infrastructure lifecycle management
  • One or more technical certifications associated with enterprise grade global security systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years in a multinational organization.
  • Additional experience working for/with Value-Added-Retailers, security integrators, and/or security vendors.
  • Low voltage installation experience.
  • Experience building and managing a complex budget
  • Experience working directly with senior executives or C-Suite leaders
  • Experience developing a major program or organizational strategy.
  • Proficient with the Adobe creative suite, basic HTML, MS Project; Chrystal Reports, Concur, Big Fix.
  • Lenel 1000/2000 certification.
  • Genetec Security Center/Omnicast Enterprise Technical Certification
  • AVTEC Scout 220 administration.

  • Bachelor’s Degree
