The Sr. Manager, Marketing is responsible for leading brand and product marketing strategy/activity across assigned licensed titles within the Disney Games global portfolio by partnering with licensees to deliver extraordinary campaigns. You will play an integral role within the global Disney Games business with responsibility/oversight for an entire line of business and is a rock-star marketer, influential presence, inspirational leader, and outstanding collaborator.
As a leader you are responsible for a portfolio of high priority titles within the Games business and lead a team of marketers to help each licensee successfully create/implement go-to-market plans that build brand awareness, engage consumers, and drive conversions through thoughtful brand storytelling, data-driven insights, and creative innovation – all grounded in a consumer-centric integrated marketing approach.
You will report to the Director, Marketing.
This is a Full-Time role.
Responsibilities/You will:
Own and lead a line of business within the global Disney Games portfolio and ensure the successful launch and live operations of priority titles in partnership with licensees and internal partners
Act as a thought partner and day-to-day lead with licensees in reviewing marketing materials, providing insightful and strategic guidance/feedback, and managing/approving go-to-market plans, creative assets, and marketing activations
Provide category thought leadership with licensees and guide them strategically across all facets of brand management, product marketing, user acquisition, and social/community activities (inclusive of market research, consumer insights, product positioning, messaging, creative, promotions, distribution, etc.) to elevate products and campaigns
Be a strong brand steward for The Walt Disney Company brands, especially in providing guidance/feedback to licensees to deliver on-brand marketing and creative executions that are both innovative and differentiated, while remaining true to the product
Leverage quantitative and qualitative insights with licensees to identify market opportunities that inform and help craft player personas/target audiences, positioning, go-to-market plans, creative development, and campaign activations
Maintain knowledge of industry trends, competitive market, business opportunities, etc.
Analyze performance of marketing campaigns with licensees regularly to identify areas of optimization and make actionable recommendations
Implement industry best practices with licensees and strive to uphold benchmarks across all campaigns
Build and deliver on innovative and performance driven Disney marketing campaigns that extend reach, increase awareness, and result in meaningful brand deposits
Cultivate positive relationships with licensees to facilitate communication and collaboration
Serve as the internal brand champion for licensees to help garner support for plans across The Walt Disney Company
Partner closely with internal cross-functional teams (Production, PR, Franchise, Legal and more) to tap into their expertise throughout all stages of product development and to ensure alignment and consensus for a successful launch and/or continued live operations
Collaborate with regional teams to implement global strategy via impactful local campaigns
Present marketing updates to Executives and broader Games and Franchise Teams
Create marketing pitch decks, presentation materials, internal plans, and post-mortems
Lead and mentor a team to achieve professional and personal developmental goals
Basic Qualifications/You will have:
10-15 years of experience in Marketing (preferably product marketing), combined with 5+ years of working in the gaming industry and 3+ years of managing direct report(s)
Goal-oriented strategic/creative problem solver with a proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
Demonstrated success in several areas of marketing, including brand management, product marketing, digital marketing, user acquisition, and social/community
Excellent analytical skills; ability to translate qualitative/quantitative data into actionable insights that get results
Outstanding interpersonal skills; ability to influence, collaborate, and “sell” strategies to a wide audience set
Have a strong understanding of industry insights, standard benchmark KPIs, and best practices
A keen eye for creative; ability to bring creative strategy to life in execution
Highly organized, meticulous project manager; ability to multi-task and prioritize
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; knows how to tell a story in a compelling way
Motivational leader with proven ability to inspire a team to learn/grow and deliver results
Proficiency in KeyNote/PowerPoint; the ability to craft a narrative visually
Preferred Qualifications:
Solid understanding of 3rd party tools used to source app market data and competitive insights
Passion for the entertainment industry with a focus on interactive and gaming strongly preferred

The hiring range for this position in California is $148,000 to $199,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
