Senior Security Specialist

Automation and integration specialist charged with integrating the many tools and services utilized by the security teams. In addition, finding and implementing ways to better automate manual processes in order to scale the security organization, develop quicker response times, and eliminate efficiency gaps.


  • Research, design, develop and implement unified integration solutions for security & compliance tools
  • Automate processes in order to deliver quicker, higher quality security results
  • Research and deploy machine learning based platform to increase efficiency and response times
  • Partner with internal teams to design and develop solutions that automate the detection, response and resolution of security and compliance related threats
  • Maintain active threat intelligence systems and establish baseline metrics in order to detect indicators of attack or compromise
  • Extensive use of RSA Archer and Splunk for integration into deployed security and compliance tools including ServiceNow, and Qualys

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in automation technology
  • 1+ years as Splunk Administrator
  • Extensive API knowledge/expertise
  • Domain knowledge in technical areas, such as:
    • UNIX (AIX, Linux, HP-UX, Solaris)
    • Windows
    • IDS/IPS
    • Firewall
    • Encryption and Authentication standards
    • Wireless Security
    • Network and host-based monitoring techniques
    • Restricted access policies
  • Programming Experience in one or more of the following languages:
    • C#
    • C++
    • Python
    • Java
    • Java Script
    • HTML
    • SQL
    • XML
    • XSLT
    • SPL (Splunk)
  • Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, and interpersonal interaction
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills with an ability to develop creative and innovative solutions.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • GIAC (or other security certification) credentials preferred

Required Education

Four-year degree or greater in field such as Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent years of experience.
