Job Summary:

Disney Parks, Experiences, and Consumer Products is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join the talented team of developers building platforms that power our many web experiences. This individual will collaborate closely with product and engineering to build and improve our platforms for delivering content and products to our guests around the world.

The ideal candidate is a front-end engineer with a passion for building powerful, robust, performant, and functional web experiences and platforms. This candidate will be expected to deliver quickly and iteratively in an agile environment while building and improving a world class platform.


  • 4+ years of experience in the fields of web development
  • Experience with modern web programming languages and standards: JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5, Ruby, Python
  • Experience with modern web frameworks and libraries: React, Backbone, Sinatra, Rails, etc
  • Knowledge of web databases (MongoDB, Postgres, MySQL)
  • Familiarity with software version control: Git, Github, Perforce
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies: Agile, Scrum; iterative and incremental development
  • Familiarity with software design patterns
  • Familiarity with software modeling in UML or similar
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Basic Qualifications:

  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and UX to solve technical issues and build amazing guest experiences
  • Research and experiment with the latest and greatest technologies to identify, test, and apply them to current and future projects
  • Provide technical perspective in furthering products and the business
  • Estimate engineering effort, build prototypes, and adapt code for production
  • Integrate research, best practices, and industry trends to continuously improve products and avoid potential problems
  • Develop thoroughly tested code for the most challenging aspects of each product
  • Collaborate with other technology teams to solve complex problems spanning respective areas
  • Exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results

Required Education

BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
