Job Summary:

“We Change Lives.” Walt Disney Imagineering is the master planning, creative development, design,
engineering, production, project management, and research and development arm of The Walt Disney
Company. Its talented corps of Imagineers is responsible for the creation - from concept initiation
through installation - of all Disney Resorts, theme parks and attractions, real estate developments,
regional entertainment venues, and new media projects.

What we’re looking for…
An intern software developer to assist with software platforms that our designers and engineers use to deliver theme parks.

Responsibilities:

  • Participating on a project team with other systems reliability engineers and product manager(s).
  • Picking up user stories, developing features, participating in code review and providing production services support.
  • Writing code Ruby, Python and Go. Managing infrastructure in AWS using Terraform/Gitlab CI.

What you bring to the role...
  • 3-6 months of experience with public cloud (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure)
  • Basic system scripting or development (Bash, Python, Go)
  • Experience with working with APIs and SDKs
  • Proficient with command-line tools
  • Basic proficiency in git (pull/push, branching/merging)
  • Experience with database technologies (SQL, Postgres, MySQL)

Required Education

  • Currently enrolled as a Sophomore or higher, or graduated within the past 6 months, from an accredited college/university, earning a degree majoring in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field

Additional Information:

At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
