Job Summary:

We are looking a Senior Manager to join our Disney+ Insights & Analytics team, looking after a team of market-dedicated data analysts and to be our UK Analytics lead. The purpose of this role is to manage a team of market-dedicated analysts to ensure consistency, scalability and robustness of their work, as well as to gain an in-depth understanding of UK customer behaviours, content preferences, acquisition and retention insights. The role will be part of the regional Analytics team to benefit from best practices, opportunities to enhance technical skills, and support regional and global exposure as well as career development; it will also be embedded within the UK business with frequent touchpoints with the country manager and UK functional leads.

This is a pivotal role within the Disney+ business, which will drive our ability to generate crucial insights on market by market business performance across the region, and will directly feed into business decisions and action plans across the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Design collaborative and transparent road-mapping and opportunity sizing process to be leveraged across local markets, to identify and prioritise local insight needs
  • Manage team of several local analysts, ensuring consistency, timely delivery, replicability and de-duplication of their work; assessing local priorities in light of broader Analytics tools and roadmap
  • Identify and scope out which Analytics projects require to be rolled-out to local markets across the region, and drive implementation across markets in a consistent and non-duplicative way
  • Develop strong relationships across the regional Analytics and business teams, as well as with the global DSS Analytics team to align on key priorities and targets
  • Be the “go-to” person for UK business performance metrics, and the conduit to socialise regional and global insights with local analysts
  • Shed light on UK content preferences and customer behaviours, e.g. by measuring impact of content launches on acquisition and retention, tracking and evolving drivers of churn, creating local audience cohorts (all within global/regional framework)
  • Scope out and implement UK tests across merchandising, customer comms, acquisition and retention campaign evaluation - in close collaboration with regional and global teams. Developing test plans, defining success metrics, and ensuring robust statistical results.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Extensive analytical experience
  • Experience managing Analytics teams
  • Experience in using SQL; Python/R and other statistical programming language experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of statistics concepts (e.g., propensity modelling, hypothesis testing, regression analysis)
  • Graduate degree preferred in a quantitative field including Marketing, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or Social Science. Background in data visualization and dashboard development
  • Skilled at prioritising and managing multiple project schedules and deadlines that run simultaneously
  • Top class analytical mindset, with ability to QA others’ work and ensure consistent and robust work is delivered directly and through others
