  • This position is responsible for providing data driven consultation to the sales team by analyzing genre, channel and client advertisement spends and deriving insights that will equip the sales team in maximizing revenue,  and also act as a key link between Content team and Sales teams and drive the brand philosophy and sales/revenue strategy for the Hindi Movies 2 Cluster channels to optimize channel inventory.


Strategic / Policy related KRAs

  • Support National Channel Head in carving out a revenue generation strategy for the channel by providing data driven insights on the channel performance, market factors and industry ad-spend trends.  
  • Build a deep understanding of own network and business model coupled with an understanding of the industry and clients through BARC data, industry reports, trends, articles; so as to understand plans of our key clients and categories and support the sales team for proactive pitching.
  • Engage with sales teams to understand business trends, external business environment including competition understanding in order to provide more meaningful analysis and support to the teams
  • Develop annual budget of team as part of channel targets to be cascaded till the frontline level. Work on re-forecasted budgeting basis previous quarter performance and ensure this is cascaded further.
  • Devise ways of tracking and improving productivity for ensuring health of the business through periodic monitoring, tracking and reporting of sales productivity metrics (BARC, industry reports, client-side CRM)
  • Build in-depth understanding of Digital Media - key levers and metrics and leverage this and consult the sales team on bundled pitches
  • Deep dive into analytics across the mediums to help identify opportunities for selling hybrid deals (TV+Digital)

Operational / Process / Technology related KRAs

  • Identify and highlight opportunities to National Head and Cluster Heads basis data analytics
  • Monitor the channel for Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Annual performance and give strategic and tactical inputs to National Channel Sales head to achieve the sales target
  • Facilitate client and brand-wise spend monitoring on the channel and on corresponding competitive channels to evaluate competitive channel performance within and outside genre
  • Work on internal review reports and decks as required on a periodic basis to help create the narrative for the channel sales performance
  • Collaborate with and support sales teams in client-specific proposals, to use data driven insights for persuasively communicating offerings and unique value-proposition
  • Improvising on dashboards, reports, metrics with the objective of increasing revenue opportunities and workforce efficiencies

Financial Accountability / Commercial Impact

  • Generate and publish periodic channel performance and revenue reports proactively to aid the sales force in revenue achievement by highlighting gaps proactively
  • Support National Head in achieving numbers through regular reporting, providing data insights for reviews and sales funnels and monitoring sales processes
  • Maintain revenue reports and pipeline of the channel

People Management KRAs

  • Drive and motivate the team by undertaking reviews and driving processes
  • Develop talent and career management by identifying learning opportunities, recognizing and rewarding high performance and coaching and mentoring
  • Build a culture of cross-functional collaboration and driving team to productively work across functions (Sales, Cross-functional analytics, central analytics, PRS) and resolving escalations / conflict management where required.
  • Manage performance through continuous performance feedback, timely course-corrections and work with HR to launch performance plans as and when required


  • Timely and accurate submission of the budget and reforecast as required and comprehensive view of the performance of the channel
  • Presentation of the review in the formats required by the National Head
  • Quantifiable inputs provided that were able to influence favorable decision making by clients and shaped the direction of the strategy
  • Business opportunities identified and highlighted on the basis of data analyses


  • Minimum Qualification: MBA
  • With at least with 7-10 years of post qualification experience.
