Job Summary:

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position collaborates with HR and business leaders to achieve the objectives of Disney’s beloved Hilton Head Island Beach Resort. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of strong business acumen, human resources and consulting skills. As a forward-looking business partner, the HRBP will proactively assess business performance to identify gaps and initiate client and HR partnerships to develop HR solutions. A strong collaborator, the HRBP will work closely with HR and functional partners to deliver solutions and change management plans that provide sustainable benefits. The HRBP will also partner to act as an advisor to business leaders regarding HR policies and processes (e.g., merit and promotion planning, performance management and talent planning) in order to optimize employee productivity and engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively supports and partners to develop organizational and employee effectiveness solutions working closely with HR and functional partners to deliver solutions and change management plans.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line of business leaders (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary action).
  • Works closely with management and Cast Members to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures and succession planning.
  • Leads an HR team including: Cast Support Manager, Coordinator of Training and HR Assistant. Guiding and directing efforts in the functional areas of recruiting and onboarding, training and development, workplace safety and employee satisfaction
  • Establishes and keeps strong, positive, consultative relationships by working closely with business leaders and HR functional groups
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of progressively responsible experience as an HR Business Partner in a dynamic environment, with specific experience in strategy development, organizational design, talent management and change management.
  • Demonstrated consulting, communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
  • Practical, action-oriented mind-set
  • Team player who quickly builds trust and working relationships
  • Ability to manage simultaneous priorities
  • Resiliency to working in the “grey”
  • Basic knowledge of employment and labor law required

Preferred Qualifications:

SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM SCP) credential

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree required

Preferred Education

Master’s Degree with emphasis Human Resource Management, Organization Development or Business preferred

This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
