The Associate Manager, Retail Creative will be part of a team of designers tasked with the design and development of innovative branded retail experiences spanning the entire portfolio of Brands and Franchises - Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucas, Fox, Natgeo and more. The Associate Manager will work with the retail creative leadership team executing design across the portfolio of brands in a broad spectrum of retail environments from digital, social media, to physical retail and retail signage. You will report to Manager, Retail Creative.

  • A designer who can bring forth creative design solutions grounded in storytelling sensitivity to the guest experience and passion for The Walt Disney Company's portfolio of brands.

  • A designer who can work independent, and eager to jump in and develop ideas, with a vision for retail environments and ecommerce platforms.

  • A retail lover who is passionate about digital and physical design and has an appetite for learning new skills and evolving our brands.


  • Design and development on retail toolkits / Style Guides across the portfolio of brands.

  • Prototype and design retail stores and shop-in-shops delivering on-trend retail design solutions.

  • Provide creative direction and approvals for external collaborators and licensees.

  • Manage in-house projects independently and overseeing and guiding agency projects for the retail creative team.

Basic Qualifications

  • Outstanding design vision with proven track record of delivering innovative retail experiences.

  • Hands-on, communicate design ideas and concepts quickly to leadership and partners.

  • Knowledge of visual merchandising best practices, fixtures, ecommerce design, with proven experience in retail presentation.

  • Technical proficiency required to standardize fixture package - fixture detailing - and new fixture development.

  • Ability to effectively present and communicate creative ideas and concepts to cross-functional teams. Strong Interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent people skills, diplomacy and collaborative spirit

  • Multi-tasking capabilities, with ability to project manage working on a variety of projects in parallel.

  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly and work in a constantly evolving environment.

  • 2+ years experience in graphic design, brand design.

  • Preference for experience with ecommerce

  • Proficient in Adobe Suite

  • Ability in 3d modeling (Sketchup, etc) a plus.

Required Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education

  • BA in Design or equivalent field
