Job Summary:

DISNEY GLOBAL SOURCING & COMPLIANCE is part of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products division and functions within the Global Product Creation (GPC) organization. The GPC organization is focused on product/merchandise strategy, product & design, product R & D/innovation, and merchandise sourcing. Through these centers of excellence, we deliver high quality, innovative product that is safe and responsibly sourced to consumers in all retail channels around the world, while providing a unique guest experience. The Promotional Products Department supports Disney Parks Experiences, and Products (DPEP) through the sourcing of premiums for giveaway to internal employees and external clients. The team works towards continuously improving supplier relationships and cultivating global and cross-functional partnerships.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist/Manage the merchandise sourcing & production of select promotional products categories for Theme Parks & Resorts internal departments, Disney Stores, and alternative business model opportunities in partnership with the Sr. Manager, Promotional Products Department.
  • Partner on vendor strategy, product costing, manage vendor communication and production management related to promotional product categories.
  • Responsible for ensuring products meet established standards for safety and quality including monitoring quarterly Product Review Requests (PRRs) with product integrity partners.
  • Track progress of production cycle against key milestone dates through daily maintenance of the promotional tracking report.
  • Partner with client to align right-fit products and supplier relationships to deliver cost-effective solutions for high volume promotional item sourcing.
  • Continued discovery and updating of processes resulting in consolidated, efficient promotional buying activity.
  • Safeguarding compliance through training and communication with clients in a variety of business units.
  • Communicate production status to partners during meetings as required.
  • Ensure all products are shipped on time to support established promotional event launch dates.
  • Provide accurate shipment status information from factory to client.
  • Contact vendors to follow-up and verify the accuracy of provided data, resolve routine issues and ensure vendor alignment with Disney processes and procedures.
  • Follow up with vendor communication regarding any outstanding samples (Approval, PP/TOP, etc.)
  • Prepare standard ad-hoc reports as requested (production timelines, status updates, etc.).
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Manage the promotional process of new experiences, holiday and other key initiatives.
  • Attend cross-functional meetings and quarterly product line review meetings to understand key sourcing issues and action items.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years experience promotional category

  • Sourcing promotional products
