Job Summary:

Disney Publishing Worldwide seeks a highly creative and detail-oriented Editor to work on a Disney/Pixar children’s books, Infant to Pre-School Age. You will report to the Editorial Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Global and Vertical Publishing Plans
  • Present Publishing Plans to vertical and licensed publishers
  • Brainstorm formats/concepts with internal and external partners
  • Prepare and present P&Ls at Acquisition meetings
  • Write Fact Sheets for acquired titles
  • Commission authors
  • Prepares scripts for Sales Meetings
  • Review and edit manuscripts, layouts, and all passes
  • Track performance of franchise to right size new season pub plans
  • Review pub planning submissions for assigned franchises
  • Review assigned publisher submissions in OPA

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience in children’s publishing
  • Highly motivated, collaborative, and detail-oriented, with exceptional organizational skills
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Knowledge of publishing process and formats
  • Understanding of editing, and copyediting
  • Highly motivated, productive, and detail-oriented
  • Familiarity with Disney/Pixar brands

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree
