Job Summary:

Manager, Sales role will be responsible for sell-in of specific wholesale product lines, meeting financial targets and daily management of all aspects of the retailer relationship and process. Key to this role is building relationships across multiple functions at the retailers, but, also with cross functional Disney teams: Flexible Business Model (FBM), Brand Merchandise, Retail Sales, Retail Marketing, Analytics, Logistics, Supply Chain. This position will report to Director, Sales.

Responsibilities:

Own the wholesale business with retailers throughout each phase: helping develop strategies, influencing product assortment, day-to-day management of the business to include the following:
  • Work with FBM, Brand Merchandising on product assortment including retailer exclusives leveraging product sales analytics with retail and consumer trends and aligning to our overall franchise goals
  • Develop best-in-class relationship with Buying, Planning, Inventory Analysts, Visual Merchandising at retailers – become the point person for all day-to-day contact.
  • Develop and execute departmental strategies. Actively work to apply financial and consumer insights, and product trend information, as well as support the divisional strategies.
  • Secure placement in-line and out of aisle during key timeframes inclusive of catalog plans.
  • Ensure key item placement within retailers every day and seasonal ad programs.
  • Analyze sales and margin rates to provide recommendations for assortment optimization
  • Lead JBP planning process to present quarterly financials, departmental strategies and hindsight business reviews to cross-functional teams
  • Execute to key milestones, meeting requirements to support operational timelines and hold cross functional teams accountable to these milestones
  • Perform weekly analysis of account business, assess opportunities and risks, and provide recommendations/gap analysis to upper management for modifications to assortments and/or future executions.
  • Manage accounting reconciliation with retailer
  • Work closely with Retail Analytics on replenishment planning / allocations
  • Help trouble-shoot POL issues/hurdles
  • Work to ensure A+ product detail pages on retailer .com sites

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 - 5 years merchandising/assortment planning experience in mid to large size company (or related experience)
  • Experience working with national brick and mortar retailers preferred
  • Experience in building and maintaining multi-dimensional working relationships with retailer
  • High level of interest and experience with Disney Brand
  • Excellent follow-through skills and ability to multi-task
  • Experience working collaboratively with design, manufacturing and planning partners in product development; experience setting and maintaining financial targets
  • Experience analyzing consumer product sales
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Experience working collaboratively in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to flex from strategic to task oriented skills
  • Good computer skills (Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Keynote)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • People oriented team player

This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
