Job Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Manager Brand Merchandising, you will be the producer of the line for National Geographic, working with creative and product design to ensure highest quality, consumer focused, trend right products across all channels of distribution (licensing, flex business models, vertical and wholesale) that build brand equity and meet financial targets.


  • Execute the daily implementation of the National Geographic product strategy
  • Manage product execution at the department, class, and sub-class levels
  • Consumerist: Consumer obsessed, always balancing the art and the science of merchandising to find opportunities, enhance brand and delight our consumer
  • Monitor and reports on the global competitive landscape
  • Demonstrated passion for consumer and product trend
  • Manage Data integrity in systems and samples
  • Provide support for key milestone meetings with the development of presentation decks, briefs, recaps, and assembling input from key partners
  • Attend team meetings to assist with the input/output of communication
  • Maintain organization across samples and visual decks of merchandise by quarter
  • Establish perspective on what's working and how to improve product line
  • Partner with Cross Functional partners to achieve seasonal product lines that meet business goals including sustainability goals
  • Brand ambassador to cross-functional teams showing up as compelling, dynamic, and knowledgeable in all stages of go to market process and partner interactions where product is discussed
  • Deliver our diversity and inclusion goals through right product and personal growth

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in Product Merchandising or Brand Management
  • Experience building a product line for a category or categories of business
  • Working knowledge of the omni-channel marketplace
  • Experience working, and thriving, in a highly matrixed company structure
  • Team Player – The ability to build collaborations throughout the company & departments
  • Flexible and adaptable with a demonstrated ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated personal initiative skills in the workplace

Required Education

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience

This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
