The Project Manager supports the operation of GMPD Executives to develop, facilitate and ensure completion of the product development process.

Responsibilities

Support GMPD Operations Executives to develop, facilitate and ensure efficient completion of end-to-end product development master process. This person will support global GMPD process work, covering US and global partners.
She/he will be, directly responsible for East Coast team support and for organizing East Coast based milestones.
  • Be primary communication point and GMPD Operations leader for East Coast-based partner teams (Product Strategy, Product Development, Sourcing, Central Creative and Planning), ensuring adequate coordination and preparedness for each milestone (deliverables, forms/presentation formats, etc.).
  • Ensure efficient integration with West Coast Operations partners and across all of GMPD.
  • Provide support to GMPD Operations Executives in order to develop and maintain GMPD Master Process and calendar.
  • Directly responsible to ensure efficient organization of East Coast milestone meetings (meeting invites, room booking, technology, recap, etc.), including organization and coordination of the quarterly line reviews (creative and financials) as well as the implementation sessions.
  • Prepare progress update, including leaders and cast members feedback as well as issues/hurdles requiring executive leadership alignment and approval to address.
Identify, gain approval and implement process efficiency opportunities. Focus will be on East Coast; strong integration needed with GMPD Operations leadership and other GMPD partners.
  • Look for opportunities to drive efficiency/reduce timeline through process optimization and tools/technology.
  • Solicit and organize feedback from the East Coast based team as we progress through the new process.
  • Develop and present recommendations to GMPD Operations leadership for approval.
  • Facilitate implementation of approved recommendations and lead change through the organization.
  • Partner with Enterprise Business Systems team to identify systems and tools that can drive process improvements. Provide leadership and business expertise to gain leadership support and drive implementation.

Provide general operational support to the East Coast GMPD team.
  • Responsible to manage all day-to-day East Coast Merchandise Operations processes. This includes responsibilities such as management of sample process, coordination of team meetings, reviewing and fulfilling partner’s merchandise needs, and being primary point person for the building operations team.
  • Responsible to manage and coordinate samples for visual purposes for product presentation to Executives and other partners. This includes presentations at Maingate as well as at management meetings and in other Disney buildings and Executive offices as needed. Work with GMPD partners to define content of the meeting. Coordinate set-up room/product presentation with GMPD partners.
  • Responsible for the creation of presentation documents as needed by the Merchandise strategy team. This includes documents for operational purposes, internal meetings and all aspects of global meetings/presentations.
  • Responsible for the management of ad hoc projects that arise needing Merchandise support from the Central team - these range widely in scope.
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned.
