Job Summary:

Job Overview

The Global Product Creation (GPC) team is responsible for creating, developing, and bringing to life Disney merchandise across Disney Parks, Disney Stores, wholesale, and licensed products sold across the world.  As part of the GPC team, Location Strategy is responsible for delivering the best expressions of all brands within Disney operated retail stores through strategic retail planning, assortment strategies, product space planning, and analytics. 

The Retail Business Analyst will analyze performance results, identify trends, and partner to identify opportunities to improve the experience and results.  The success of the role is dependent on the Analyst’ ability to provide valuable insight and drive strategic changes through the analysis.


  • Work with Location Strategy and other key partners to identify and analyze product, product placement, and store performance trends across Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Signature Experiences, and The Disney Store Flagships
  • Report on performance and metrics identifying what is successful and not successful
  • Identify opportunities for expansion and contraction of product programs, product lifecycles, and store concepts
  • Support Location Strategy work efforts on major projects
  • Participate and lead key projects as assigned
  • Present compelling and influential stories on analysis to leadership


  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Data and Analytics, Math, or other related area
  • One or more years’ of experience in an analytical or strategic role
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the knowledge to develop and evaluate multiple options
  • Proven to be an action-oriented individual with the ability to be a creative thinker
  • Ability to shape complex items and analysis into simple and influential stories
  • Experience with analytical systems and tools
