The Senior Manager-Resource Planning & Integration acts as a business consultant to our DLE Talent Casting, Booking & Contracts, Costuming and Character Programs and Development teams. This role leads a small group of salaried employees as they drive policy development and governance, labor and scheduling consultations, hiring workflows, provide labor relations liaison functions and coordinate the organizations internship program. The position is also a thought partner, facilitator and planner for comprehensive resource needs, strategic insights and other support for a team of senior leaders and Executives.
This position reports to the Vice President of Business Integration, Casting and Costuming.
What You Will Do
- Coordinate weekly staffing submittals for Executive approvals and communicate outcomes for processing in addition to approval notifications
- Develop data-driven strategies that advance the organizations talent planning and learning needs
- Facilitate yearly annual operating plan conversations and act as a liaison for Finance partners in the yearly planning process
- Drive impact on strategic priorities for DLE Business Integration, Casting and Costuming spanning across operational, financial, and talent strategy
- Synthesize and prioritize information and provide concise and specific recommendations for decision-making
- Prepare executive engagement materials as needed for internal or external events
- Collaborate with site leaders and their leadership teams to identify and push forward priorities for each site
- Drive consistency and alignment across sites and provide regular robust updates to leadership
- Host and coordinate various forums, including internal executive updates to senior leadership within the organization
- Develop compelling and persuasive presentation materials, including executive reports for segment and site-based senior executives/steering committees
- Act as the key integration point between sites and other business units on company-wide initiatives to drive alignment and ensure the achievement of the enterprise’s priorities
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Operate with utmost integrity and confidentiality
- Five (5) or more years of leadership experience leading salaried employees
- Five (5) or more years in training, human resources, talent planning, live entertainment or similar field
- Experience with groups working in a collective bargaining organization
- Experience communicating concepts to a broad audience concisely and persuasively; influencing key decisions and direction to achieve priorities
- Experience in organizational change taking into account all levels of employee
- Strong critical thinking and business/financial competence to scrutinize brand, financial, and operational implications
- Able to critically evaluate business models and product proposals against priorities
- Proactively engage partners to build and maintain positive relationships to identify business opportunities for the segment
- Attention to detail with a high sense of ownership and skills to complete a wide range of high-priority tasks
- Works well in a large creative organization; ability to integrate both vertically (within site) and horizontally (cross-site and enterprise), driving alignment across collaborators with differing priorities
- Credible, proactive, and trusted thought partner with a track record of establishing relationships and delivering results
- Innovative problem solver and a quick learner who is highly independent, adaptive, and agile
- Conduct deep dives on unique and varying topics and formulate strategic recommendations timely
- Ability to think pragmatically and ability to drive executions
- Experience using data to develop strategies and decisions
- Possesses a global approach and cultural sensitivity
- Ability to travel between work locations in a given day
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, nights, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing and implementing policies
- Experience with hiring policies and procedures for all level of employees
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Advanced degree or equivalent experience in live entertainment, leadership or business is preferred
